(A/n: To go ahead and get it out of the way, I'm writing the reader as a female, as me myself being a female find it easier to write in a fenale POV in order to be able to really bring out a slowburn relationship with the reader and Daryl. (y/n) DIDN'T KNOW WHAT THE Fireflies wanted with this girl.
She was simply a teenager, and at first glance, seemed to have no value at all.
Groaning, (y/n) unzipped her rucksack, fishing for the vanilla folder that contained her written orders that explained her mission.
Feeling her fingers trace over the parchment, she grabbed it, pulling it out before flipping it open and began reading over her orders.
———————————————————————— Taylor Thompson has been found to be immune to the virus, as a blood test report was located at the CDC of Georgia, showimg her results proved to fight against said virus. Her whereabouts are unknown, but she is to be detained; with force if necessary, and to be brought back to firefly base in Utah with fellow subject Ellie Williams for surgical procedures to create a possible cure. "So," Merle announced, walking into her apartment flat as he closed the door behind her, "All we gotta do is track her down, huh?".
Sighing, (y/n) nodded as she slipped the file back into her rucksack, "Yep.".
"Well then," He grinned, "Let's get to it. I wanna fin' her an' my baby brother.".

In case it wasn't clear, (y/n) is a soldier for the anti-government group 'The Fireflies', with their slogan being 'look for the light' as they strive to make a cure to erase the fungal virus that plagues 'The Last Of Us'. As previously stated, 'The Last Of Us' crosses over into this book, and this is one of the many times it will.
