-Chapter eighty four; Honor-

DARYL

DARYL BOUNCED JUDITH SOFTLY
as Jordyn sat beside him and Taylor's head rested on his shoulder.

"Did she fall asleep?" Jordyn asked in a hushed whisper, and he looked to the side of him out of the corner of his eye, seeing Taylor sleeping peacefully with her head on his shoulder.

He nodded, "Yeah. Guess she tuckered herself out cryin' so much...".

Jordyn looked over at Carl who handed Rick a small stack of folded papers, "...It's not her fault...".

"...She needs ta' convince herself that..." Daryl murmured, rubbing Judith's back softly.

Rick and Michonne then got Carl on a small matress.

Tara spoke up from beside Jordyn and Daryl, "Do they need anything? Food, water? I'm sure there's some around here somewhere.".

He shook his head, "Nah, Tara. They're fine.".

That's when a particular strong, loud explosion went off, and a few rocks and dust came down from the sewer roof, and Carl began to hack and cough as Taylor woke up, sitting up and rubbing her eyes.

"Did I fall asleep?" She asked in a soft voice, looking between Jordyn and Daryl.

"For a little bit, yeah." He replied with a nod.

Judith giggled and reached her hands out towards Taylor, and she hugged her, "Hi Judy. Are you having fun hanging out with your Uncle Daryl and Aunty Jordyn?".

Judith nodded while smiling brightly, and that's when Michonne got up from her spot beside Carl and stormed over to Dwight, shoving him into the wall, "Make it stop.".

She stood in front of him, "Make them stop.".

He stood there silently for a few moments before replying, "I can't.".

"You can." She argued, "You're one of them. They'll listen to you. Please. Please.".

Daryl looked down at Taylor, and his heart ached at how she looked down to the ground in sadness, most likely out of guilt.

'It ain't yer fault, Taylor...' He thought, 'Never was.'.

"You said that Hilltop's safe, right?" Rosita asked Dwight.
