Thanksgiving, was told to be a day of giving for some.. but how was it a day of giving when so much was taken by others?
Leo declined the call from a number that appeared on his phone. He had not even given the person a chance to talk to him even just the name of the person was not pleasing to him. Even on the day of giving the resident could not give this person the care of mind to talk to them, especially not today of all days. Maybe he should give them a chance.
"Leo?" The resident looked up at the intern who was about to walk past him. That chance could wait a little longer
"Hey Meredith." Leo said.
"I didn't think you would be coming."
"Izzie invited me. Was I not supposed to come?" Leo asked. The resident shoved his hands into his jean pockets trying to avoid the tension that had formed within the small exchange of talking outside of Meredith's house.
"You have a girlfriend."
"Julia is out of town, I can leave if you want me to" Leo gestured towards his car that he parked not far away. He didn't want to make anyone uncomfortable. Meredith shook her head.
"No it's fine. Izzie's going to want help, good luck." Meredith said as she quickly walked away trying to avoid what was happening in the house. Leo just chuckled a little bit at the girl ran away from the house towards her car. Before he could get to the door a group of four people ran outside of the door yelling O Malley and other things such as that. Leo avoided their path of running as he walked to the door.
Leo was not a big thanksgiving fan, he never truly understood the concept of why the holiday was celebrated. At a young age he had learned about what the European countries did when arriving in America, his curiosity had gotten the better of him. He still would celebrate it at a bare minimum with his brother and friends but when he moved to Seattle he stopped celebrating it at all. Julia celebrated the holiday but she usually went out of town to visit family since she knew Leo didn't really enjoy the celebration.. but it did mean that Leo was alone. And maybe that feeling of being alone was what lead the resident to knocking on the door of the house where three interns lived.
"Leo!" Izzie said answering the door and seeing the male at the door. The intern instantly let the resident into the house. She grabbed his wrist and pulled him towards the kitchen. "I need your help desperately."
"Okay, tell me what you need."
