"Careful, Chief Webber is not happy. Apparently it's a quiet board today and that's not a good thing." Kase warned the people he would like to think were his friends. The group of three were heading to meet up with Bailey's interns since neither group happened to have a resident to work with. Bailey's interns were already struggling with no resident, Bailey had to take off because she was pregnant, and so whichever resident those five got Leo's interns were probably stuck with as well

"We haven't had a decent resident this week." Cristina said as the three of Leo's interns arrived.

"Oh the last two weren't that bad." Izzie said. She was the first to notice the three interns who joined them as they got dressed in their yellow gowns near the area the ambulances pulled up to.

"Doesn't matter which resident we get. They suck." Alex said. The group continued to complain as they walked. Arthur rolled his eyes annoyed with Bailey's interns as they walked away. Jemma just smiled as she moved forward following after them as they went outside.

Kase was the second last to come out with the rest of the group which he was sort of happy about because it made it so he missed so much of the weird Alex and Izzie sex talk. Maybe that's what it was. Kase didn't know or understand what it was because they tried to talk about it like they were doing their jobs. Honestly anyone who didn't know them probably would not have understood until the end of the conversation

"Can we get back to the point?" Cristina asked.

"You had a point?" George asked.

"Yeah, which surgeon are we all going to have to suck up to today?" Cristina said glancing at Kase, Jemma, and Arthur when saying that including them in the group.

"That would be me!" The group of 8, all startled, turned around and saw Dr. Bailey standing behind them. How had none of them seen her on their way out here.

"I've been gone 2 weeks. 2 weeks! And you ran off 2 residents! I've got people phoning me at home, screaming telling me my interns are Rosemary's babies." Bailey stopped talking and looked at Kase, Jemma, and Arthur who all stood off to the side. For once Bailey didn't comment on them at all. She turned back to her own interns. "Nobody wants you! Do you think I have time for this? I am pregnant! I'm supposed to be on bed rest. I'm supposed to be growing a human being. I'm supposed to be calm! Do I look calm to you? Did I raise you fools to be pariahs?"

"I thought she was scary any other time." Arthur commented very quietly to his fellow interns.. Jemma hit his arm telling him to be quiet. George walked past Meredith and Izzie went went straight over to Bailey to hug her.

"You're back." George said sounding relieved.

"Ah! I'm not back." Bailey said.

"You're not?"

"Get off me." Bailey hit the interns back and he backed off. They heard the sound of an ambulance coming towards them. "Uh Yang, Karev, Grey, Knight and Blackwell stay here and wait for the incoming case. O'Malley page Addison Shepherd. Porter go meet up with Addison Shepherd. Stevens get a wheelchair."

"A wheelchair?" Izzie asked.

"A wheelchair." Bailey repeated. Jemma went inside quickly and the others walked off to meet the ambulance.

Arthur and Alex opened the back of the ambulance when it arrived and instantly they were greeted with a screaming lady whos clothes were covered in blood.. Arthur helped her out of the ambulance, her still screaming, and he and Meredith walked her into the hospital. Kase looked into the ambulance and his eyes went from the patient instantly to the paramedic who's hand was inside of the bloody wound.

"Dude." Alex said looking at the scene.

"Yeah."

Kase stood next to Hannah, the paramedic slightly examining the injury as well as trying to figure out what exactly the paramedic was thinking. Meredith was in there as well and Burke just walked in with Cristina.

"How's his respiratory effort?" Burke asked.

"Absent breast sounds on the right side. Air bubbling on the side of the wound. He's shocky and getting a little cyanotic." Meredith askers.

"Let's get him intubated and place an occlusive dressing over the wound." Burke said before looking at the paramedic. "And who are you?"

"Hannah. Hannah Davies."

"Hannah, why do you have your hand inside my patient?" Burke asked.

"I'd like to say for the record that I told her not to." The female paramedics partner butted in.

"I don't think he asked you." Kase commented which got him a slightly disapproving look from Burke.

"I tried to tamponade the wound with gauze and pressure but the only thing that would stop the bleeding was my hand. Every time I tried to move it he starts bleeding out." Hannah said. The more experienced doctor look a look at the wound as Hannah asked probably the one question that matter to her most right now "Can I take my hand out now?"

"You don't stick your hand inside of a patient when you don't know how he was injured. You don't stick your hand inside of a patient at all." The other paramedic said.

"Yeah, I know that now!" Hannah shot back.

"At least she tried to do something." Kase said irritated. Usually the intern was not like this, being rude and snappy was not who he was especially since he had come here.

"Out of my room." Burke said to the paramedic.

"She gets to stay?" The paramedic asked.

"She has her hand stuck inside my patient." Burke said. Hannah smirked at her partner, who left the room obviously annoyed, before looking over at Burke

"Nice. Thanks." Hannah said.

"Oh don't get happy. You have your finger on a major bleeder. Mr. Carlson is running out of time. The only thing that you've won is an all expense paid trip to the OR. Dr. Grey, Dr. Blackwell prepare to transport her to the OR. And let's make this happen quickly people." Burke said as he left the room with Cristina following wondering what she was supposed to do.

"Thanks" Hannah had turned to look at Kase.

"For what?" The intern asked with slight confusion on what he did that could be getting thanks from her.

"Not backing down against him, I know what I did wasn't smart-"

"You thought of something on the spot, you tried to save his life. I wasn't going to let something berate you for trying to do your job." Kase said. "Let's get you ready for the OR so you can get your hand out of his body and back to yourself. That seem good?"

"Yeah." Hannah smiled at the intern. Kase didn't notice it as continued on with his job and worked with Meredith to get everything ready for the OR so they could try and save the patients life.
