Kase, Meredith, Alex, and everyone but Burke, Milton, and Hannah stood outside of the OR. They had all been told to leave and were now waiting in the hallway. Kase was standing there nervously as they waited, he wanted to understand what was going on because not a lot was said to them. The words Bomb squad was still being played in his head. It was on this endless loop.

"Can you imagine? What she stick her hand in there for anyway?" Alex questioned.

"She was trying to save his life." Kase instantly went to defend the paramedic

"And now she might die because of it." Alex said. Burke opened the OR door and stepped out into the hallway where the group waited for him to come and say something.

"What do we do now?" Meredith asked instantly

"I go back in and wait for the bomb squad. You leave. You all leave." Burke said. Most of the team started to leave but a few of them stayed. Meredith and Kase both didn't move to leave with the rest.

"Mer, you coming?" Alex asked questioning if his fellow intern, and maybe friend, was coming with them. Meredith turned towards Alex and just gave him a look saying no. "It's your funeral." The male intern and most of the other members walked off towards the elevator.

"You need a surgical team." Meredith said turning towards Burke once again.

"All I need is Dr. Milton to keep him under. I can do the rest myself." Burke said. There were five of them left still not wanting to leave yet. Burke looked at them as they didn't move away. None of them were leaving them to do this alone. "Fine. But you wait by the elevator. I don't want anybody in here that doesn't need to be in this OR. When the bomb squad arrives we'll take it from there. Until then Milton and I are doing this alone. Now, go." The group agreed and headed towards the elevator.

"I don't like having to lie to Dr. Bailey." George said as he, Jemma, and Addison got on to the elevator together. Dr. Bailey was in labor and they had found out earlier that day that her husband was being operated on by Addison's husband. Jemma had been working with Addison getting anything she, or Bailey, needed done.

"Now's not the time Dr. O'Malley." Addison said.

:She'd want to know about her husband." George said. As he entered the elevator and the doors start to close his pager goes off. "Code Black? What's a 'Code Black?'"

"Wait! Hold it! Whoa." Izzie Stevens barely makes it to the elevator and inside. "Dr. Shepherd. The other Dr. Shepherd wanted me to let you know that Tucker's bleed is more extensive than he originally thought. It's gonna be a few more hours before he has anything concrete to tell Dr. Bailey."

"Thanks Stevens." Addison said before the doors closed. George turned towards Izzie as Jemma's pager went off, she happened to be getting the same message that George had gotten about the Code black.

"What's a 'Code Black'?" George asked.

"A what?" Izzie asked before her own pager went off. " 'Code Black'? Code Red, Code Blue, Code White. I've never had a 'Code Black' before. Dr. Shepherd?"

"Just, just go back to your locker room and wait for your resident to give you instructions." Addison said trying not to worry the residents. It didn't seem to help much as she was missing one important detail.

"We don't have a resident." Jemma pointed out talking about herself as well as Izzie and George.

"What's going on?" George asked.

"Is it something bad?" Izzie questioned. The elevator dinged before the doors started to open. In front of the group they saw police officers within the chaos of the floor. The three interns looked at the attending hoping she would actually give answers to them not that they had seen what was in front of them.
