"Leo."
The resident moved down the hall of the hospital away from the person who called out his name. He had been moving towards the elevator to leave not long before he made a detour in his path. It was a long way out of his path to the next desired exit but he was willing to take it to avoid talking to him.
"Leo, you can't avoid me forever."
Leo kept walking and didn't give a response to the person calling his name.
"Leo! You have to talk to me one day!"
"No I don't!" Leo exclaimed as he spun around. "You do not even deserve me talking to you Mark! You've done nothing but hurt the people around you and I always take the pain!"
"Leo I want to make things better with us. We're brothers and I'm staying to work at this hospital."
Leo stormed towards his brother. "Fine stay for all I care, just leave me the hell out of your life and whatever you have planned here."
"I don't have-"
"I don't care." Leo exclaimed. "Get your life together without me in it."
Leo turned around and headed for the exit leaving Mark Sloan standing in the hospital surrounded by passing people but feeling so alone all over again.
