"Hey Izzie." Leo sat down on the ground of the bathroom near where the blond girl in the pink dress laid. He carefully placed down a cup of water he had gotten from the kitchen not long ago for the girl. She had not left since she arrived the night before.. after Denny died due to a stroke.

"Go away." Izzie said quietly but Leo didn't move.

He carefully moved his hand up and pushed falling hair out of the girls face even if she didn't care to look at him. A small sigh escaped him before he dropped his hand down to his side again.

"It's okay to not be okay Izzie." Leo said. He forced a smile as he looked down at her. "I have to go but if you need anything call me, I will come back in a heartbeat."

"Leo-"

"I'll run all the red lights if you need me." Leo said quietly. "People like us need to stick together after all."

"What do you think Bailey's going to make us do today?" Arthur asked as he walked with Kase and Jemma out of the locker room.

"Could be anything. I'm pretty sure she's still pissed off at us." Jemma responded as she pulled her hair into a bun. The other two couldn't help but agree with that statement. Izzie had admitted to be the one to cut the LVAD wire but Bailey was probably still mad at them, they at least couldn't help but think that she was mad at least.

"Good thing you three aren't dealing with Bailey today."

The three interns looked up at the resident that was standing next to the nurses desk waiting for them. Their faces lit up as they looked at them, well two of their faces lit up.

"Dr. Sloan, you're back!" Jemma said happily.

The resident gave a two fingered salute as the three stopped mere steps in front of him. Leo looked over them all for a moment before grabbing a chart off of the desk next to him. He let out a small hum as he flipped through it, reading over everything written inside of it. After a moment he held it out in front of Arthur.

"You're working with Dr. Heron today. Be lucky she offered to let an intern help with her case today." Leo spoke watching as Arthur took the chart from his resident. "Now Dr. Porter, go meet with Dr. Montgomery-Shepherd. Pulled a few strings for that one so thank her for even letting you work with her today."

"Thank you Dr. Sloan." Jemma said.

Leo's eyes landed on Kase who had been avoiding his glance by staring down at the ground. The resident hummed before moving away from the desk. "You're with me, we're helping in the ER."

Kase looked up at him. "Dr. Sloan I don't think that's the best idea."

Leo stopped to try and face him. "I don't see why it isn't. If you have a problem with me being your resident then go ahead and request to be switched to work under a different resident. If it's not a problem then I would like to get to work."

Leo turned back around and started walking again waiting only for a few seconds before Kase began to follow him.

It was his first day back and things already seemed to be going smoothly.. what could go wrong?
