Love, in some cases, felt like a drug. Those addicted sometimes feeling it to be impossible to get away from."

"Look at my finger."

Leo rolled his eyes, following the command given to him by a lower ranked member of the hospital. He stared at the finger in front of him as a light was shone near his eyes. "Blackwell I swear to god, stop acting like I don't know how to take care of myself."

"You were found in the hall unconscious. Sorry but I need to at least make sure you don't have a concussion." Kase responded. He let out a sigh. "Just let me do my job then you can go back to your own."

Leo just gave a silent nod as he let Kase continue to go on with his tests just to get back to work. He just had to sit there with Kase all while a baby was missing in the hospital with a meth maker father. A poor child suffering and he was just sitting here doing nothing.

"Dr. Sloan." Kase started to speak when he was done and ready to say Leo could go back to work. "Can we tal-"

Kase was cut off with the ringing of a phone. Leo hummed as he pulled his phone from his pocket and answered the call that was coming.

"Hey Lucas." Kase frowned. "Sorry I'm busy after work.." 

"You're clear to go back to work." Kase stated, turning and walking away from Leo leaving him all alone.

It seemed to just be a rough day for all. The loss of a patient involved in the meth lab explosion. The baby and his father were found, the father arrested and the baby being taken into surgery for a stroke.

Kase had been helping take care of the wife from the meth explosion before his time at the hospital ended for the night. Jemma was staying for a little while longer, taking over watching the one year old, and Arthur had left to apparently go meet up with a date already.. that just left Kase.

"Are you sure you're going to be okay alone?" Jemma asked. "When I get off shift we could go to my apartment and watch a movie if you want."

"I'm okay, Jem. I think I'm just going to go home and go to sleep." Kase responded.

He smiled and gave his friend a small goodbye before walking towards the elevator. He got on alone, the doors beginning to close when a hand shot in and they began to open again so another staff member could get on. Kase looked down at the ground, his eyes not being allowed on the other member.

"Blackwell."

"Yes Dr. Sloan?" Kase forced himself to look up at the other in the elevator. 

"I broke up with my boyfriend." Leo spoke up.

"What? Why?" Kase asked.

Leo turned his head to look at Kase with a smile. "I'm busy tonight.  Hopefully with you."

"And they relapse back into love all over again."​​​​​​​
