I should have known the hotel they’d be staying at would be extravagant. I mean, luxurious was an understatement. Nick, the security guard that had accompanied Harry and I on a few public hangouts met me in the lobby and lead me up to the heavily protected floor. “Room 1208, love.”

“Thanks, Nick.” It was certainly quiet, I’m sure everyone must have been dead. Stopping in front of his door, I smiled happily before knocking. A lazy be right there was shouted, then I heard padding and finally, he was opening it up. He looked sleepy but the second his eyes processed my standing there, he smiled, pulling me into a Harry hug. I willed it, really. I’d missed my dork. “I found your list to mummy.” He chuckled and tugged us both inside.

“You…” He was still smiling at me, but I was too busy gaping at the room. It was…magnificent. A dream hotel room is what it was.

“This is the coolest hotel room I have ever stepped foot in.” He laughed again.

“They’re all like this.”

“Well, you are one lucky piece of shit.” He brought me close, hugging me once again and ignoring my shocked comments.

“You’re here.” Hi breath was hot against my neck.

“Yeah, and I might not ever leave.”

“I can make that happen.” Letting go, I dropped my suitcase next to the bed and then fell back on it. “Where are you staying? Here?”

“Ha! Yeah right. This place was booked up, as was the other two hotels next door. I think I’ll go to the Marriott.”

“Stay here.”

“Hey, deaf boy…just said it’s booked up.”

“I know. Stay in this room. With me.” Shrugging, I played it off as though I hadn’t been wishing for that. And really, that hadn’t been what I wanted until I saw the place and the view…Christ.

“You do realize I have no interest in you and though I may have come here to see you…it’s all about this room now, yes?”

“Figured as much.” His sweet, toothy grin made me smile.

“Good then.”

“How long are you here for?”

“My flight leaves on Wednesday night.”

“Oh…”

“What?”

“We’re supposed to leave for Vienna on Tuesday morning.”

“That’s okay. I can just stay at the Marriott that last night.” He stood there for a minute, with his hands on his hips, lip tucked between his teeth. He was thinking. He did that a lot.

“No…no, I’ll fly to Vienna once you leave.”

“Harry, you don’t need to do that.”

“I want to. You came here for me, I want as much time as I can get.”

“You can do that though?”

“I can pretty much do whatever I want.” That was the first time I’d ever heard him say something like that. It made me laugh.

“Thanks buddy. And thanks for letting me stay here. That flight pretty much broke the bank, so…a hotel room…”

“Let me pay for it, your flight?”

“No, no…you dont have to.”

“Please?”

“Harry…”

“I have more money than I know what to do with. Please, Hal…let me pay for it. Honest, it’s nothing.”

“You’re sure?”

“I’m positive.” I was skeptical. I didn’t like him paying for things. But hesitantly, I nodded.

“Fine. God, what would I do without you?”

“You wouldn’t be here.” A cheeky smirk appeared and I poked him underneath his ribs.

“Food around any good?”

“Louis said room service is ace. I haven’t eaten yet.”

“Where’s the menu?” He reached into the bedside drawer and handed me a booklet. Skimming through, my mouth began watering. “What is this place? Heaven? Feta, Roasted Red Pepper and Humous wrap? Brie and Apple Grilled Cheese? Truffle Mac and Cheese? Honestly…is this a joke?” He chuckled and rolled off the bed.

“Order whatever you’d like. M’hungry too, so don’t hold back.”

“You know that won’t be a problem.”

“I’m gonna pop in the shower.”

“I’m probably going to rack this bill up…”

“I expect nothing less.” He left the door ajar and a minute later, the water began running. I ordered the food and the man on the other line told me it would be ready momentarily. What that meant, I wasn’t sure, but by the time I hung up the phone, Harry was walking out…a towel low on his waist. If I wasn’t one of his best friends, I would have shivered at the sight of the water droplets on his tanned, inked skin. If he wasn't like my brother, I would have wondered how it was possible for one man to be so gorgeous. Gulping, I forced myself to look away. The temperature in the room had heightened drastically and I felt the immediate need for fresh air.

“Food should be up momentarily.” He raised his eyebrow at my wording. “That’s what the man said.” He nodded, completely understanding now.

“M’droppin’ the towel. No peekin’.”

“I’m just going to conveniently step out onto this balcony.” I shut the glass door behind me and pulled my phone out, pressing Adam’s contact. It rang five times before going to voicemail. “Hi, its me. Just calling to check in. Hope fishing is going well…” I glanced behind me, watching Harry’s boxer clad body attempt to writhe into a pair of sweatpants. “I miss you. A lot. Oh and funny story…Im sure you’ll find it funny…probably—maybe, and maybe not. But I’m in Cardiff. Cardiff, Wales. Decided to see what this whole tour life was about. Don’t be mad. Okay…I’m gonna go now. Call me later, I guess.” I hung up and shoved the phone back into my pocket just as Harry opened the door, ushering me back inside.

“You good?”

“Yeah, just figured I’d call Adam.”

“Oh.” He ran his fingers through his wet curls. “How’s he feel about you being here?”

“He doesn’t actually know?”

Oh…”

“Mhm…”

“And why doesn’t he know?”

“Because I didn’t—haven’t told him. I mean, he’s in Northern California.”

“And you flew to another country, not only that…you flew to another country to hang out with another man…”

“Oh, don’t flatter yourself, Styles.”

“How is that flattering myself?”

“You make it sound like I came here for some illicit affair…” I trailed off, the way his cheeks flushed, the way he looked down, refusing to make eye contact with me was strange. “Oi…what’s goin’ on in that head of yours?” The knock on the door caused us both to glance up. “Saved by the bell.” As I walked past him, I playfully shoved his head and he fell back on the bed before getting up and hurrying towards the door. I grabbed a pair of leggings and a tank and walked into the bathroom, closing the door behind me.
