Hallie.

Harry was snoring softly next to me when I opened my eyes and Penny was staring at me, I'm guessing cause it was way past breakfast time. I slipped out of bed and she didn't hesitate to follow me out to the kitchen where her tub of food was stationed. As she practically vacuumed up the dry kibble, I checked my newest text message.

Heather: Penny ever get lonely?

Hallie: She hates being alone, Harry and I can't leave her! Why?

Heather: Just got two in...

Hallie: Heather, I don't know...

Heather: I know it's a lot, I know...but they're such love bugs and super friendly with the other dogs!

Hallie: Pits?

Heather: One, we think is half...lab or shepherd mix? The boy is full.

Heather: Just come take a look, please?

Hallie: Harry and I are in London right now, I'm coming back on Wednesday...can you hold them for me?

Heather: Of course. I don't know why, but you were the first person I thought of, hun. I think they'd fit in really well with you.

Hallie: I can't wait to meet them. I know Harry has a lot on his plate right now, but the tour is coming to a close (thank god!) so hopefully we'll be able to work something out!

Heather: Thank you so much, Hallie! Enjoy the rest of your trip and we'll talk when you get back :)

I put my phone down just as a picture message came in. I knew right then and there that it was going to be difficult saying no. They were beautiful. Like...out of this world gorgeous. Harry and I had a lot to talk about. Like, more than a lot. My lease was up in two months, we could possibly (hopefully) be getting two new puppies...life was happening and Harry and I were in the middle of it just kind of, like, sitting? But at the same time we were so busy. "Good morning, you." I smiled at my sleepy boy as he trudged into the kitchen.

"Didn't think you'd actually be up." He kissed my head before opening the fridge. "You shopped!"

"I did, yeah, on the way home yesterday."

"Oh, thank you, I love you, I love you." He pulled out the French Toast sticks and popped a few in the microwave. After fixing his plate up with syrup and butter, he sat down in the chair across from me.

"So...I have good news and bad news..."

"Oh no..."

"What do you want first?"

"Erm...dunno, bad?"

"I'll give you the good first."

"Should I be worried?"
