Kingdom of the Red Rose (Episode 34 of 62) Chapter Thirteen: The Reaper's Choice (Part 1 of 3)
Griffin's mind jumped forward in time, to the day before the train wreck. A lot had happened in the span of time he skipped, including his demotion to only escorting souls and no longer collecting them. But he knew the events that led to his demotion were included in this one day and decided this was the next memory he needed to revisit. Griffin had received a new mission. Five souls were to be escorted to the beginning of their new life. He read and memorized his orders, just as he had countless times before.
'Griffin,
These five souls are ready to be born into the mortal world once again. You will escort them to their new shells. Make sure each soul has gone through the reset process and has returned to its original form before beginning the journey.
Use your weapon to attract the souls to you, and make sure they are always flying next to you.
Once you reach their shells, they will automatically move away from you and begin the merger. When you have confirmed that the merger was successful, then you can return to Purgatory,

Griffin rolled up the scroll and placed it in his robe. He waited for the souls to be delivered to him in Purgatory by another Angel.
"Grim Reaper Griffin, these are the five souls you will be escorting to Earth," Angel Christopher said as he landed next to Griffin with the five souls floating around him.
"Thank you, Angel Christopher. I will make sure to take good care of them," Griffin tapped his scythe on the ground, "Emma, activate soul attraction."
Emma produced a bright blue colour originating from the blade and the five souls were drawn to the weapon like a moth to a flame. Griffin carefully inspected each soul, making sure they had all reset to their original form. A sphere of bright white light surrounded by a mist of various colours; that is what a soul should look like after a reset. Pure untainted energy spheres about the size of a tennis ball. All seemed to be in order, and they began their journey into the human world.
Ever since Griffin's demotion, he felt the need to try and communicate with the souls; to pass on to them what he considered to be an important lesson. Interaction with the souls was forbidden, but it never stopped Griffin from talking to them. He knew the souls wouldn't remember anything once they merged with their human shells; a safety measure implemented by the Council, yet Griffin shared his story with all the souls he escorted. As soon as he entered the mortal world, Griffin made sure no one was following him and slowed down.
