Kingdom of the Red Rose (Episode 60 of 62) Chapter Twenty-Three: A Threat to Heaven and Hell (Part 4 of 4)
Griffin picked up the shield and spear and stood in front of Lucifer.
"My name is Androktasia, and I am at your service," the spear of Gabriel said.
"And I am Athena. Your wish is my command," said Michael's shield.
"Relinquish all control to my weapon, Emma," Griffin replied.
"As you wish," they both replied and Emma transformed them both, fusing them with her.
The blade on the left forearm, with which Griffin held the shield, disappeared and the shield shrank slightly and became a part of the armour, permanently attached. The only way he could drop the shield now would be if Lucifer removed his arm. A row of sharp metal teeth appeared around the shield's exterior and a picture of a fully grown red rose appeared at the front. The shield kept its silver colour and as Griffin tightened his fist the blades around the shield began turning like a chainsaw, and the more he squeezed the faster they turned. The spear turned to silver metal and small blades grew along the body of the spear, like the stem of a rose covered in thorns.
"You are not the only one that gets to wield Godly weapons," Lucifer said, "Allow me to show you my modified weapons," two long whips appeared in each of the Devil's hands. The whips were long, black and on fire.
Griffin brought the shield and spear together, forming an X, and then swung them out, getting a feel of their weight. As he swung out, a bright white light emitted along with a ring so high pitched it forced the Devil to cover his ears.
"Let's try this again, Devil, shall we?" Griffin took a battle stance.
Lucifer screamed and charged forward, ready to strike. He swung with his left whip and it bounced off the shield. He swung with his right whip and it wrapped around Griffin's spear. The Devil's tail appeared over his head, as a third whip, and was about to hit Griffin. The shield changed shape and expanded over Griffin's head, deflecting the tail. The shield quickly reshaped back to normal, and Griffin slammed it into Lucifer's face. The blow forced the Devil to lean back, and he never saw the spear as it punctured his shoulder. That was when Griffin realized just how the weapons worked against the Devil's apparition. As the spear entered the shoulder the Demon felt no pain, but it then emitted a bright light and burned away the entire shoulder. The shoulder never grew back until the Devil took a couple of steps back and the spear no longer touched him. Lucifer looked at his shoulder, pain visible on his face as he lost a huge amount of mana. The expression turned to anger as he lunged to attack Griffin. He only saw the side of the shield and the blades around it turning at full speed as it cut through his head, left to right, splitting it open horizontally just below his eyes. He shrieked in pain and his head quickly reformed.
