Three weeks later
Larkin pulled into the student parking lot blaring "Homecoming Queen" by Kelsea Ballerini. She pulled her hood up as she got out of the car. She got her cheer bag out of the back seat and headed up to the school.
As she was approaching the sidewalk a reporter stopped her.
"Hi Ms Newton Im Tina Mcdaniel from PB News 12 i would like to talk to you about your dad..youve been rather quiet." She said
"Lady you are relentless. Leave us alone." Larkin said and walked off.
Larkin went inside as she walked in the noise fell silent as everyone stared at her. All you could hear was whispers small giggles. Bucky and his group of friends noticed the deafening silence and looked around.
Larkin held it together till she got to her locker. She hid in her homeroom class until the bell rang. During lunch she hid in the library and cried. Bucky came in the library and went to read over syllabus when he heard crying.
He found Larkin curled up with her knees to her chest with her head down.
"Larkin?" He whispered
She looked up she quickly wiped her face and stood up. "Im okay..I just needed a minute to myself." She said and left.
He shook his head. "You're not okay" he whispered.
