Six days later
Larkin showed up at Bucky's Model UN competition, she sat with Winnie and James. Even though she didn't understand it all. She wanted to be there for him. When it was all over he found his parents who told him congratulations.
He saw Larkin. "You're here." He said
She smiled at him. "Yeah I am." She said
She saw his group of friends coming over and got nervous. "Can I come over later? I wont be able to hang out this weekend. I'll be out of town for a cheer comp." She said
"Yeah. Are you okay?" He said
"Yeah.." she said and she left.
When Bucky's friends surrounded him and hugged him. He realized what was wrong she wasn't sure about his friends. That night she came in and sat in his lap.
"Mmm hello..you know that I don't like when you do this." He whispered
She laid her head on his shoulder. "You can trust them Larkin. They won't hurt you." He whispered
"Yeah.." she said
Two days later she was in Tallahassee Florida, when her and her squad walked in. One of their arch rival squads seen them. After the girls performed the arch rival walked over to Larkin.
"You going to go buy your way into winning. So you can cheat and use money to win." Lana said
"Excuse me?!" Larkin said
"Dont play dumb sweetie. We all saw what your daddy did..so I assume the apple didnt fall far from the tree." Lana said
Larkin snapped and punched Lana. Suddenly their cat fight grew attention. When the guards pulled them apart.
"Keep my family out of your mouth." Larkin said
On Monday morning before classes began Bucky seen her. He pulled her under the back stairwell.
"What happened?" He said when he saw her busted lip and black eye.
"I got in a fight at the competition." She said
"Larkin Newton please report to principal's office.." was heard over the intercom.
"Great..just what I need more bad news." She whispered and walked off.
When she walked into Principal Fury's office. She sat down in one of the seats
"We heard about the fight. So youve been suspended for one game. And we also called you in here to let you know that you aren't allowed to be on HOCO court. We pulled your name from the nominations..." Principal Fury said
"Thats not fair! You all keep punishing me! I get that my dad did bad stuff but you keep finding reasons for me not being a cheerleader. I have my dad in prison my mom is dating my so called friends could care less about me. Now you are sitting here taking everything from me my captain spot academic probation a game suspension and now HOCO! You know what here take my cheer stuff back. Tell Coach Nash I quit..Im barely hanging on here and you all care more about how the school looks to the outside world then the student. So I quit I cant wait to graduate and get far away from this place." Larkin said as she took her personal stuff out of her bag and put them in her backpack and left.
Principal Fury and Ms Hill looked at each other with tears. They felt like crap cause they knew she was right. Coach Fury came into wife's office.
"Why did Larkin Newton just give me a dirty look?" He said
Both women began to tell him everything and that they just lost one of their best cheerleaders.
