Chapter 2

"So you've already gone in once?"

"That's right. It was mainly Phinks, Feitan, Machi, Kortopi, and Shalnark who went in first. Now, we're all going in after them."

I hummed and nodded.

"Hey...what happened to Hisoka? Did we get a new replacement?"

"Oh, yeah. You don't know," Nobunaga said. "He's right behind you."

I turned my head to see a child staring at me with his pink eyes.

"Kalluto Zoldyck, the new number 4."

"...I see."

I turned to focus on the console again.

"So do we just jump right in?"

"You need Nen to access the game, kiddo."

"Oh."

"So we'll let Phinks and Feitan go in first before you do. To secure the area."

"I can handle myself."

"No, you can't! Your Kurta eyes are changing more frequently now!"

I grimaced.

So he noticed too, huh?

"You're not doing a good job at hiding it," Phinks admitted. "Despite being raised by boss himself. Thought he would've done a better job at it too."

"Don't question the boss, Phinks!"

"Just saying."

"It's possible he underestimated her," Machi jumped in. "Don't give boss any crap before he lights your ass on fire once he's been freed, Phinks."

Phinks scoffed.

"Come on, Fei. We're going in."

Within minutes, the two physically disappeared.

"They're really gone..."

"Yeah. What did you expect? Their bodies to collapse?"

"Well, yeah?"

Shalnark laughed, reaching over to ruffle my hair.

"Naive as ever."

"Hey!"

Shalnark chuckled again.

"Well, you can go on ahead. We'll be right behind you!"

Pursing my lip at Shalnark, I approached the console. I plopped down and hovered my hands over it and activated my Nen.

And in I went.

This is really dizzy.

All I can see around me are a bunch of colors floating around and a door. The door slid open and I went inside to see more colors and...a girl?

I slowly approached her, standing off to the side just in case.

"Welcome to Greed Island, Miss. You must be Y/n Lucilfer."

I gave the girl a good look.

She doesn't look like she'll cause any harm. Either way, I still need to keep my guard up.

"I will explain how the game works."

Huh?

"Will that interest you?"

I slowly approached the girl again.

"Yeah. That interests me."

"In this game, anyone that wears the ring has two spells available to them. They are called "Book" and "Gain". Place the hand wearing the ring in front of you and say "book"."
