Sebastian was startled awake by his phone vibrating violently in his pocket. He rolled onto his back, trying to gain access to it to figure out why it was going off. He eventually grabbed it and saw that it was his 6:00 am alarm.
He turned it off and laid there for a moment. Taking in his surroundings, he forgot where he was momentarily until he looked over to see Rylee sleeping soundly next to him.
God, I could wake up to that forever. She was laying on her stomach, her face turned to face him, with her arms tucked under her pillow. Her bedroom was dimly lit by the sun slowly peeking up over the skyline and pouring through the open curtains that covered her windows. A streak of light coming through was almost about to stream across her face.
She had given him a tour of her apartment when he first came over but he hadn't spent much time there yet. He rolled out of bed gently and padded his way down the hall towards the bathroom. He was thankful that she had mouthwash since he didn't have a brush with him. I'll have to change that.
He then walked out to her kitchen taking it all in. It wasn't very big, enough space for about two people to mill about without bumping into each other, but it was perfectly Rylee. The walls were painted an egg shell white, the cabinets boasting a light sage green with gold accented hardware, all neatly tied together by black marble counter tops.
He hoped Rylee wouldn't mind, figuring it would be easier to ask for forgiveness than permission, he dug through the cabinets to find the items he would need to make breakfast.

Rylee woke up to the sweet smell of pancakes, which would normally be delightful, except for a split second she didn't know why. Oh, Sebastian. She put two and two together quickly and she took a relaxing breath.
She sat up and stretched out her back. She always sounded like a chiropractors best patient when she woke up in the mornings. She could feel every inch of her body pull and crack from her neck to her toes. And man did it always sound atrocious in the best way possible.
She slid on her glasses and stood up, deciding to stay in her soffe shorts and over sized t-shirt. She made her way to the bathroom to brush her teeth and hair before she made it to the kitchen.
Rylee stopped for a moment, leaning against the wall, to watch Sebastian do his work and, god, the domesticness of this moment sent her heart a flutter. She could only see his back while he cooked but his shirt was tight enough to see his muscles flex just so when he flipped the pancakes. How could someone look so damn good doing such a simple task.
She watched for another moment before walking forward the last few paces and sitting along the bar in her kitchen, right beside the stove Sebastian was slaving over. She put her chin in her hands gently, elbows on the black counter top.
Sebastian peeked over his shoulder and smiled, "Good morning, you have impeccable timing."
"Morning," she smiled in return, head still resting on her hands, "and do I now?"
"Mhmm," Sebastian hummed grabbing an empty plate and stacking it full of pancakes and sausage. He slid it along with a fork over the counter to rest in front of Rylee.
"Aren't you just a Jack of all trades.." Rylee said as she grabbed some butter, spreading it across each pancake.
Sebastian laughed, grabbing a few pancakes and pieces of sausage for himself, placing them on his place and making his way around the bar to take the seat beside Rylee.
"Thank you for making breakfast," Rylee commented as she passed him the butter. She put a big glob of syrup on her stack of pancakes as she spoke.
"Absolutely. It's the least I can do for you for letting me crash here last night." He took the syrup bottle that Rylee slid his direction. "I didn't realize how tired I really was yesterday." He set down the syrup bottle and rubbed the back of his head, embarrassed.
"You, mister, can stay here whenever you please." She leaned over to gently elbow his rib. Sebastian smiled back at her, but she noticed it didn't quite seem like his usual grin. "You okay?"
"Yeah... I just feel bad for barging in on your night and falling asleep basically before I walked through the door." He poked at his pancakes with his fork, not looking up at Rylee.
"Hey..." Rylee said, setting her fork down on her plate gently. She put her hands on either side of his face, rubbing her thumb over his stubble covered cheek, guiding Sebastian to look at her, hazel meeting blue.
"Honestly. My night was great. I'm so beyond happy you showed up. My apartment is your apartment." She paused, letting go of his face, and staring down at her own food, the butter on her pancakes slowly melting from their heat as she talked, "It was honestly really nice to sleep togeth- I mean. Literally sleep. I mean just...ugh." She covered her face with her hands at how her brain just fried out.
Sebastian laughed, placing two of his fingers under her chin to turn her face towards him. She dropped her hands and pouted her lips.
"I agree. It was really nice to sleep together." Sebastian said, reassuring her with not so many words that he understood what she meant and she shouldn't be embarrassed. He slowly leaned in to give her a long kiss, hoping to relieve her thoughts.Rylee melted into the kiss. She liked that Sebastian just always seemed to know what to say.
"So," Sebastian said, looking at the gold framed clock on the wall, "It's only like 7:30. How about we move this breakfast shindig into the living room and continue our Marvel marathon?" Sebastian suggested.
"Yessss oh my gosh let's do it!" Rylee clapped quickly as she stood up. She scooped up her plate and made her way to the living room, plopping down on the couch to start up her tv,
Sebastian followed close behind. He honestly hated watching his own movies, but Rylee was making it fun again. It's interesting to see these movies through the eyes of someone who's never seen them before. He loved that she was already theory crafting, but he refused to spoil any of it for her, letting her mind wander.
"After much deliberation, I feel like we should do the movies in chronological order, which means Captain Marvel is next." Sebastian signed into his Disney+ and then paused, looking around the small room quickly, pouting when he couldn't find what he was searching for.
"What are you looking for Seb? Rylee asked, confused.
"A pen and paper. I was going to write down my account sign in for you, in case you want to watch stuff when I'm not around." Sebastian commented.
"Oh, so we're in a serious relationship now. We're sharing streaming information. How romantic." She giggled as she stood up to get him a pen and paper.
Sebastian rolled his eyes and laughed as she quickly came back, handing him a small stack of blue post-its and a pen. "Well, I appreciate it," she made sure to mention.
He handed her the information and the rest of the post-its and pen. She stuck his login information inside her oak tv cabinet and took the post-its and pen back to the kitchen quickly, ready to get back to cuddling, pancakes, and movies.
