- 30 - Madripoor (part 2)

She’s taking me underground. Wanda, tell me that was Clint. 

Copy that. Yeah, he says hi.

You followed Sharon for a while. You couldn’t see very far but as long as you had a grip on her mind, you knew where to go. 

Whatever happens, you stay with her. Well, you had no intention of getting lost in Madripoor’s sewers, so you weren’t going to do anything else than following that woman. 

As you got deeper underground, your head started to hurt. Probably a sign that you were losing your connection with Wanda. You tried to get out and back in her head again, but she wasn’t there anymore. Instead of thinking about the worst that could have happened, you got out of Sharon’s head and tried to find Bucky’s. 

He could be anywhere on that island. But if he was on the ground, it would probably be easier to find. For a few minutes, you tried to follow Sharon while looking for a needle in a haystack. You tripped a few times but she was definitely making sure you were fine. It was nice to have a criminal taking care of you. But then your brain finally got lucky and you found him. 

You just had to remember what stupid letter from that stupid morse code was linked to what stupid sentence. But of course you forgot everything. 

What is- YN, are you ok ? That one was easy. One ‘out and in’ for yes, two for no. 

Ok fine. We’re in the house. Was there even a letter linked to ‘I’ve been in the sewers for a while now, and it’s a freaking maze down there’ ? You just stayed in his head, waiting.

I get it. You forgot everything, right ? Well, you clearly didn’t forget about the ‘yes’.

It’s ok. We found stairs going down. Are you there ? Now that he knew he only had to ask simple questions, you felt your heartbeat going back to normal. 

Stay with me until you go back up. Then get Wanda, you’ll talk to her. 

Sharon stopped and seemed to think for a moment. If she was confused as to where you were supposed to go next, that wasn’t going to be easy. But the longer she was thinking about which way to go, the closer Sam and Bucky would be. And they’d stop her. But she seemed to remember something and started running again, pulling you with her. 

YN. Are you ok ? Not really, but it probably wasn’t the time to have a conversation about you not being at your best. The plan was going well, and it was all that mattered at that point. So you went with ‘yes’.

You’re doing great. We’ll be there soon. Still trying to be reassuring. It was nice, but you weren’t stupid. Chances were they would get out in the wrong place. 

After a few turns, Sharon stopped in front of a door. She opened it and you noticed the stairs before you. And light. So you were going up. She took out her gun and made sure you were still following her. 

Once on the outside again, you tried to take a good look at your surroundings. There seemed to be a few planes, and a building close by. But most importantly, you could see the edge of the huge dome Wanda was still holding. You immediately got off Bucky’s mind and focused on the red dome. It would lead you to her in no time. 

And after a few seconds, it did. If your life wasn’t in immediate danger, you’d probably be proud of all the progress you had made. 

You up again ? 

Yep. I see planes close to your border. Big black building. Small airport.
