"Is that all ya got F/N?!" A deep voice yells as you stumble to your feet. By now almost the entire training camp was watching you. All the scouts had their eyes stuck to you and the man you were sparring with.
"Shut up mike! You damn big oaf!" You yell as you charge towards him and sweep your left leg under his, causing him to lose balance slightly. Unfortunately for you, Mike was a large, well built man. It would certainly take more than a small, weak kick to bring him down.
"Hah! Stop holding out on me L/N. I know you're pulling your attacks." Mike asks as he regains his balance and punches you in the jaw, causing you to fly back and fall flat on your arse. And damn, you thought for sure that that man had just broken your jaw. "Or are you just that weak?" He adds. At that comment, you feel rage build up inside you. Even though you both knew damn well that you weren't weak, your temper, like always, got the better of you.
"You're fucking dead!" You yell as you charge towards him and swing your left fist towards him before preforming a fake out and punching him with your right fist then sweeping under his legs again, tripping him on his back.
"What's the matter Mike?" You ask as you hold him down with a foot on his chest as you lean over him. "Don't tell me that's all it takes to beat humanities second strongest, squad leader Mike Zacharias." You say sarcastically as you lean in closer to his face. "Or could it be that you're holding back too?" You ask as you notice some shuffling in the crowd of scouts.
"Mike, F/N, enough." Erwin says in a deep, stoic voice.
"Alright that's enough excitement for one day!" Hanji yells as she waves her hands around. "Get back to training." She says as the crowd of scouts begins to dissipate.
"Mike, F/N, come. There is something we need to discuss." Erwin states as he turns and leaves with Hanji and Levi following behind him closely.
"The hell does he want me for?" You ask quietly as you and mike stand up.
"Don't know. But you've been called for." Mike states as you both follow the commander into the large stone building of the scouts headquarters and into the commander's office.
"Commander?" You ask as you enter the room and see him, Hanji, Levi, Mike and Jean. "Why am I here?" You ask curiously before growing impatient and getting irritated. "And why the hell is Jean here?"
"We need to send a small squad back outside the walls and into the forest." Erwin states, receiving nothing but silence and confused, angry looks from his subordinates. "...We left some important supplies back there in our haste to withdraw. Hanji would also like to get back out there and observe the titans."
"Okay and?" You ask, nearly yelling. "If you had to leave the supplies there then obviously they weren't that important. Hanji can just observe from the top of the wall." You state.
"L/N, watch your tone." Levi says.
"Whatever, why is Jean here? Mike, I thought you said Mikasa graduated top of the cadets." You ask as you stare at the large man.
"Mikasa is currently tending to Eren. I also do not want her to go on this small expedition because she is too close to Eren. That may cloud her judgement. Having said that, Jean is quite skilled in using his ODM. He is perceptive and can read situations well. He will be a good asset for this mission." Erwin informs as he leans over his desk.
"So then... Collecting supplies isn't the only thing you want us to do while we're out there. Is it Erwin?" Levi asks as he leans up against the door.
"If there's any lead on who the female titan is. Inform me. They could have left tracks in the terrain." Erwin states.
"When do we leave?" Mike asks as he reads the spines of books on the commanders bookshelf.
"Tomorrow at dawn. You will take the walls. It is not worth opening the gates for such a small squad." Erwin informs as he turns to look at you. "Believe in your fellow soldiers on this expedition. Have each others backs. You are all highly skilled. I believe in you. Dismissed." He says as you all salute the commander and exit the office.
"F/N, tend to my horse, I have some shit to discuss with Erwin." Levi states as you nod and watch him re-enter the commander's office.
