"Woo!" You yell as you fly throughout the training forest. "This has got to be the best feeling ever. It's so addictive!"
"Go F/N!" Eld, Petra and Eren yell as you zip past them.
Your brief feeling of freedom and happiness come to an end when the cheering stops and you let out a sigh. You fly back down to the ground and see Levi standing before you with his arms crossed and his usual pissed off look.
"F/N, I thought I already told you you were ready to go outside the walls. Other soldiers need to use the training forest. Don't take up their space and time by preforming unnecessary tricks." Levi states. "Now go prep the horses with Petra. They need to be ready for tomorrows expedition." He adds.
You sigh and nod as you walk off with Petra. "I thought we were finally starting to get somewhere, on good terms, when he saved me from getting my dumbass killed by a tree a couple weeks ago. But no! He still treats me with no respect and gives me all the shit jobs like cleaning out the horse's stables."

"So F/N... You nervous?" Petra asks as she holds a bucket up to feed her horse. You look at her and give her an annoyed glare. "If I was content with my life before, I would have never joined the scouts." You say as you brush Levi's horse.
"Are you saying you weren't happy being safe within the walls? Never to venture beyond into the dangers of the outside world? That you were bored living a normal life?" Petra asks with a confused, concerned look.
"I never said I lived a normal life." You answer before realising what you had said. "I just... Ah screw it." You mutter, throwing down the brush and picking up a bucket of food for the horse. You and Petra remained silent for a few moments, tending to the horses.
"F/N... When and why did you join the scouts? Why were you demoted? What did you do before you joined the scouts?" Petra asks making you tense up and freeze for a moment, almost choking on air. You kept quiet for a moment, figuring out how to answer her.
"I... I was fifteen when I joined the scouts... twenty when I became a captain... Now I'm twenty-two and demoted to a soldier... Don't ask me why. I never questioned Erwin about his bullshit decisions as a commander... Not once. I joined the scouts through sheer luck. I guess the motivation for that was because of..." You inform before you fall silent.
"F/N?... What was the motivation?" Petra asks as she realises she's not going to get a response out of you. Silence ensues once again.
"...F/N... What did you do before joining?..." Petra asks cautiously. You think on this question for a moment before you open your mouth to speak.
"F/N, Petra. C'mon it's time to eat. Cant you see it's getting dark?" Levi asks in his usual annoyed voice.
"Yes Captain!" You both shout as you salute him before following him back to your squad building.
┈┈┈┈․° ☣ °․┈┈┈┈
"Captain? You finished the meal I started to prepare earlier?" Petra asks in surprise as she sees a large cooking pot filled with pea and ham soup.
The whole of the Levi squad, you and Eren included, sit down at the table and eat as you exchange stories and funny jokes.
"So F/N.." Eld begins. "We have all been talking about it ever since you got here and... We have this bet... Why did you get demoted?" He asks as the table goes quiet.
"I think, she was a rogue. You didn't follow any of the commanders orders. Living on the edge and yearning for danger." Oluo butts in.
"Yeah? Well I think she failed something or let someone die on her watch. The commander definitely doesn't need someone who can't follow an order." Gunther states as he continues to eat.
"Seriously? How bad do they think I am?" You think to yourself as you frown.
"I think you're unit wasn't needed anymore." Petra states.
"I think Erwin found something dirty on you. Something both you and he would prefer to keep secret from the public's eye. Erwin would never want his name to be dragged through the mud because of one of his subordinates." Eld states, making you freeze up and Levi click his tongue.
"I.." You whisper after a moment of silence. "I never let anyone die and I never failed to follow a command. I sat where Erwin ordered me to sit for two years." You answer.
"So were you a rogue? Or is Eld right?" Oluo asks as everyone stares at you. You look around before noticing Eren at the end of the table.
"Eren? You've been quiet." You say as he lifts his gaze to you. "What do you think caused my... Demotion?"
"I... I really don't think it's any of my business." Eren states as he rubs his hands. You give him a small smile before standing up at the table.
"F/N?" Eld asks.
"The squad wasn't needed." You answer bluntly before heading upstairs.

"Stay withing eyesight of others and follow your leaders command." Levi states as you, along with countless scouts, are seated on the backs of horses.
"Open the gate!" You hear Erwin, who is not to far in front of you yell as the large gates separating you from the titans lifts, revealing a whole new landscape beyond the walls.
"Still want to do this F/N?" Oluo asks as the horses in front of you start to gallop out.
"Shit... It's not like I can go back now." You reply as you race out of the gates and into what seems like an endless expanse of green fields.
