"So you been good?" Meghan asked and I nodded. "Girl yes we been good. Look if you gonna take my daughter out then take her" I said and Meghan smiled. "Ok, come on D" she said picking her up. "We'll be back around six" Damn where she taking her?
"Ima take her out to eat and to the movies" Meghan said and I nodded. I guess she could tell by my facial expression that I was confused.
"Ok bye I love you" I said kissing Desire's cheek. "Love you too mommy" she said before Meghan walked out the house.
Ok now I gotta get ready so TJ can come pick me up.
I showered and got dressed before getting a call from TJ. "Ima come get you early cause I'm hungry"
"So you taking me to get some food?" I questioned while doing my hair. "Nah Ima get food and just eat in front of you" he said sarcastically and I laughed. "Ok just text me when you get here"
"Ight" he said before I hung up and finished doing my hair.

I started hyping myself up in the mirror before there was a knock on my door and I sucked my teeth.
I looked out the peephole and saw my neighbor Kylie. "Hey girl" I said opening the door and putting on a less ghetto voice. "Heyy I just wanted to see if Desire wanted to come over and play with Luke" she said in her heavy souther accent.
"Girl, D just went with her aunt but maybe next time" I said and she nodded and smiled. "Well you know if you ever need me I'm right upstairs"
"Ok bye" I said before she waved and I shut the door. Kylie is twenty four with a four year old son named Luke. They moved to California from Texas. Why? I don't know because my black ass would've stayed right there in Texas.
A few minutes later TJ texted saying he was outside and I walked out the house locking the door and I headed to his car. "Ok Bestie looking fine" he complimented and I smiled. "Thanks!"
"Oh shit I forgot my wallet-"
"It's cool you know I got you" TJ said, "you sure?" I questioned and he started the car. "Ima take that as a yes" I said before going on Snapchat.
I had a lot of people from my old school added. They was living they beat lives while I was working for what I wanted. I'm saving up to buy a car, even though TJ don't mind driving me around I'm tired of depending on other people. I had rental car for a while but them shits be mad expensive.
"I gotta pick up something from the trap first then we can go eat" TJ said and I nodded. TJ stopped at the trap and I waited in the car before he came back and we went to get some food.
A hour later we were on our way back to the trap. "Feeling good I'm feeling great" I sung along to the song I was playing. "Yo who is this?"
"XXX and this is just one of his songs called Hope" I said and he nodded. "He ain't bad"
"I know that's why I listen to him" I said before singing the rest of the song.
We got back to the trap and I grabbed my soda out TJ's car before walking inside the trap. "Yall kept the door opened?" I questioned Boggie and he nodded. "What if some niggas walked in?" I questioned. "Then they would've been six feet under by now" Kaleb added and I smiled shaking my head.
"Hi Stevie" I said and he sent me a head nod before going back to his phone conversation. "Y'all just let her walk in?" TJ asked walking in behind me before closing and locking the door. "What if she wasn't-"
"Ain't no niggas coming in here to kill us in booty shorts" Stevie said hanging up his phone and I laughed before a guy walked downstairs.
"Yo is that TJ?" He asked before me and him made eye contact.
Kentrell?!
"Yo Top this Kailani, her daughter was over here yesterday, remember Desire. Kailani this is Kentrell" TJ introduced us and all I could do was stare. "Nice to meet you" Kentrell mumbled.
"Mhm....I left my phone in the car" I lied and TJ nodded handing me the keys and I walked out the trap.
That wasn't him- it couldn't have been him- well I don't know any other guys named Kentrell. Why is he here though? Shouldn't he be....being famous or some shit. Wait wait wait....Kentrell met Desire?! I'm so lost and confused-
"Yo" I heard someone say from behind me and I slightly jumped before turning around seeing Kentrell. I looked up at him and our bodies were really close to each other's....too close. He looked down at me and I read the confusion on his face.
He picked up my hand and looked at my wrist seeing the matching tattoos we had. My wrist had a 'K' on it and so did his. I honestly had forgot we had them, we got them one day when I was at his house. Kentrell wanted me to get his initial so I told him he had to get mines on the same spot.
"Kailani?" He questioned as if his slow ass ain't realize it was me. "Yea?"
"Yo....what is you doing here?" He asked letting go of my hand. "Um I'm here with my friend"
"No but why you in Cali and why haven't you called an-"
"First of all" I said moving so we weren't as close. "I moved to Cali and second I didn't call because we blocked each other remember?" I asked folding my arms.
"Ok but I unblocked you and-"
"I don't care Kentrell, you was the one cussing me out over some petty shit"
"Ok well can we talk about Desire?" He asked and at this point I was about to cuss him out. "What about MY daughter?" I asked and Kentrell got quiet. "Nothing" he mumbled and I rolled my eyes before I walked back into the trap.
"I'm ready to go home" I said to TJ and he scrunched his face. "Why?"
"Please TJ just take me home" I said and he nodded before standing up. "I'll be back later" he told the guys before we walked out the trap and got into his car, then TJ took me home.
