Chapter nineteen

Omniscient POV:

It's been six months since Kailani has got shot and everything between Kentrell and her have been surprisingly good. They've even started hooking up with each other but no one knows.

It's just like old times, but they can't control their feelings for each other. Kentrell loves Kailani and Kailani loves him but Kailani's trust issues isn't allowing them to be in a relationship.

A few months ago Kailani was messing around with TJ but they decided that they didn't want to ruin their friendship and TJ knew that Kailani already had feelings for Kentrell.

Now Kailani is sleep in Kentrell's bed while he's downstairs with Desire, Ben, KD, Jania and Three.

Desires birthday past and Kentrell got her a puppy. Now that's all Desire talks about.

Kailani started to wake up realizing she had no clothes on and grabbed one of Kentrell's shirts which looked like a dress on her.

She pulled her curly hair into a bun before walking out the room and downstairs where everyone was. "Sleepyhead ass" KD teased while Kailani waved him off and sat beside Jania.

Jania is seven months pregnant. Her and Kailani have become pretty good friends. Kailani saw that Jania was actually really cool.

"I can't wait to get this shit off" Kentrell said looking down at his ankle bracelet. "House arrest tingz" Kailani smiled.

"I still can't believe he named the song that" Jania said referring to Kentrell's new song called 'House arrest Tingz' and Kailani smiled. "He knows I'm the brains of this operation"

"Nigga what operation?" KD asked and Kentrell started laughing. "Rapping duhhh" Kailani said. "Yeah aight" Kentrell said waving her off before pulling her onto his lap. "You being trifling" Desire pouted at KD.

"Spell it" he said and she folded her arms. "Oh aight then"

"Leave my baby alone" Kailani said before picking up Desire.

"Daddy I'm hungry"

"You always hungry" Kentrell said and Desire smiled. "Go play with Scar" Kailani said and Deaire nodded before running to get her puppy and Kailani smiled.

"Just cut that bitch off" Three said and Kailani mean mugged him. "Don't encourage him, he already tried twice"

"Damn Top" Ben laughed. "Ok I'm tired, I'm finna go home" Jania said and everyone nodded. "We'll talk tomorrow" Kailani said to her and Jania nodded before walking out the house.

"I'm tired as fuck" Kentrell said and Kailani nodded. "Daddy stop cussing"

"Yeah daddy" Kailani said playfully rolling her eyes and Kentrell smiled shaking his head before picking up Desire. "Time for bed" he said to her and she nodded as Kentrell carried her upstairs and Kailani smiled.

"They definitely been fucking" KD said and Ben laughed. "Please do me a favor and shut the fuck up" Kailani bucked at the both of them. "Aight we out" KD said and they stood up before leaving.

Kailani walked upstairs seeing Kentrell putting Desire to bed and she walked into Kentrell's room. A few minutes later Kentrell walked into the room and smiled at Kailani.

"You fine as hell" he smiled stepping in between Kailani's legs before kissing her and she kissed back. "We should go to the arcade once you get that off"

"Can't we gotta head to Baton Rouge" Kentrell said and Kailani got quiet. "Why you been avoiding it?" Kentrell asked sitting beside her.

"I haven't spoken to my mom in years....what if I see her?"

"Just talk to her" Kentrell shrugged. "After everything though?" Kailani asked and Kentrell pulled her into his lap. "I'm not saying forgive her....but if you do see her then talk to her." Kentrell explained and Kailani slightly nodded.

"Why you looking like that?"

"No reason" she mumbled lying. Kailani didn't  feel comfortable with the fact that she might see her mom but she put a smile on her face for Kentrell and she wanted Desire to get to see where her mom and dad grew up.

"I'm just fine" Kailani smiled wrapping her arms around Kentrell's neck before kissing him one more time. "Ight, you all packed right?" He asked and she nodded. "Good cause ima also do a show down there"

"For real?" Kailani asked and he nodded. "Then I'm definitely ready to go" she smiled.

Kailani was in love with Kentrell. No matter how many times she tried to convince herself she wasn't. He was everything and more she wanted in a man. He treated her like his queen which was one of the things she loved about him. No matter what he was always honest with her about everything. She could trust him and realized it was time for her to leave the past in the past.

She realized that Kentrell had been through a lot just like her and she was being selfish about the whole thing. She wanted to start focusing on Kentrell being in her and Desire's life now....and she wanted to start a relationship with him.
