They arrived back at Grimmauld's place. Bailee went straight upstairs without saying a word. She closed her door and shut her curtains. She really just wanted to be alone. She felt angry again. It was her fault. Voldemort could possess her at any moment. He could be seeing where she was right now. She could be giving away the Order of the Phoenixes hiding place. She closed her eyes and buried her head in her pillow. Maybe it would stop him from seeing. She had to leave. She was endangering everyone around her. She laid there for hours until Ron came in.
"Mom said that dinner is ready but if you want to sleep she can bring some up later."
Bailee just layed there clutching the edge of her pillow in her hand. Ron quietly closed the door. She waited until his footsteps stopped echoing. She turned the other way on her bed. Please... she thought. Please let me escape. She got up quickly and started packing a few essentials. It was nightfall. She had been debating it all day since she couldn't fall asleep. She quietly opened her door and walked down the stairs with her bag in hand.
She got to the bottom level and started walking to the door.
"Where are you going?"
Bailee turned around
Ron was standing there
"I'm leaving."
"Oh no you're not."
"And why not?" Bailee said
"Because you just can't." Ron looked at her with a frown.
"Well I have to leave." Bailee said shortly, "you don't understand."
"Well then help me understand." Ron said, taking Bailee's hands in his own.
"I can't." Baile said
"Well then it's not a good enough reason."
Bailee took a deep breath.
"Fine...she said glaring at Ron,
If Voldemort really is possessing me, he can probably see where I am right now which would be giving away our location and I'm putting everyone in danger and everyone always risks their lives for me and I hate it. I just want to be normal, without all the pressure, without all the sideways glances and everyone perking up when they hear my name. I want people to stop gawking at my scar whenever they see it. I mean every time it's just a reminder that my parents died for me. They died because of me. It's my fault they died that night. And the reason that I'm so "famous" is because I "defeated" Voldemort. And now he's back to it was all for nothing unless I can defeat him again. Me. Bailee. Defeat Voldemort. I can't even pass my aperation test! I don't understand how I'm supposed to do it all. I mean... I'm just 15, I'm not a great wizard, I barely escaped the graveyard last year, I couldn't even save Cedric. And I have to just keep on going. I can't mourn, I have to keep working to stop Voldemort. And now this year i've already been tortured twice." Bailee pulled up her sweatshirt sleeve to reveal the long white lines covering her arm. The message engraved into her hand. She pulled her sleeve back down. "This is honestly the worst year of my life, worse than staying at the Dursleys... and they're horrible to me. I thought that if I went back to Hogwarts, things would get better, I would be happier, but so far even more trouble has followed me. No matter what I do I can't get away from it!"
There was silence. Ron stared at Bailee.
A minute passed
"I'm sorry... I didn't realize it was that complicated." Ron stuttered
"It's ok... I've never really told anyone before." Bailee said.
There was another silence. Ron walked over to Bailee and gave her a hug. She hugged him back.
"Thanks" she said
"Anytime." Ron said.
They turned around to walk back up the stairs.
Fred, George, Ginny, and Hermionie were all standing there.
"You're kidding me." said Bailee.
"We heard shouting," They all said at once. Silence.
"It's fine..." Bailee sighed.
Great, now almost everyone knew about her problems. She felt like she shouldn't have complained.
"I'm going to go back to bed." Bailee said.
"Ok." they said, their voices staggered.
Bailee walked up the stairs and looked back down. They were quietly talking. Bailee wasn't surprised. She had just revealed some of her deepest secrets. She felt a bit annoyed at the situation but figured it would be forgotten by morning. After all, she'd only revealed her deepest secrets, not her darkest.
