"Are you sure this is going to work, I mean will people even want to join?'' asked Bailee
"Sure they will." Said Hermionie Cheerfully.
They continued walking on the cobblestone road. They walked past the three broomsticks and continued walking until they got to the Hog's head. It was less popular so they figured it would be a much better meeting spot. Ron opened the door. It creaked open. All three of them stepped inside. A much larger group was sitting down than Bailee had expected.
"Hello everyone" said Hermione timidly.
"I assume you all know why I asked you to come here today."
no one spoke.
"Well... we need to be able to defend ourselves and clearly Professor Umbridge isn't going to teach us so we need a teacher... a proper teacher." Hermionie gestured to Bailee.
"Why do we need to defend ourselves?" said a boy in the back.
"Because You-Know-Who's back you tosspot!" exclaimed Ron.
So it's true then... He really is back." said Dean Thomas.
Bailee nodded, she was feeling very nervous with everybody staring at her.
" Bailee has had loads of practice with defense against the dark arts." Said Hermionie.
"What happened that night at the Tournament? Said a girl that looked about Bailee's age.
Images raced through her mind. She figured she might as well tell them. They should know what they are facing. She told them almost everything, she left out Cedric and the part where she saw her parents.
"What happened to Cedric?'' asked a girl with black hair.
Bailee looked to the floor.
"Voldemort killed him." Bailee said firmly. She looked back up.
"Is it true you can produce a patronus charm?" asked Luna
"Yes." Said Hermionie. "I've seen it."
"Blimey, I didn't know you could do that!" said Dean Thomas admiringly.
"And you stabbed a Basilisk with the sword in Dumbledore's office!" said Neville
"And she fought off about a hundred dementors at once." said Ron
"Yeah, she's done a lot more too. And she can teach us all." said Hermionie
Bailee felt extremely awkward standing at the front of the room. Almost all eyes were upon her.
"So he's really back?" asked Colin Creevey.
Bailee nodded
"Ok, so... we have a sign up sheet if you want to join." Hermionie said, holding out a piece of parchment."
Everyone started lining up. Ron, Bailee and Hermionie signed first. Then Fred and George, giving Bailee a big grin. Then followed by Dean, Ginny, and many more.
"Can I join?" said a familiar voice
Bailee looked up.
"Draco!" she exclaimed
She stood up and he gave her a hug.
"When did you get here?"
"Just now, sorry I was late."
"It's ok." Bailee said. "Ummm.. right, just sign here." she said beaming.
He signed.
"Do you want to go to the three broomsticks with me?" Draco asked
"Sure." Said Bailee happily.
She said goodbye to Hermione and Ron and hurried off with Draco.Their first meeting was today and Bailee was very excited. Nevile had found the perfect place to practice. It was called the room of requirement. It would become whatever the person seeking it could desire. In their case, it was equipped with practice dummies, cushions and benches to sit on and lots of gadgets that could be useful in dueling. It was perfect. Their meeting was in 10 min. Bailee was walking swiftly down the hall. She slowly approached the wall and thought of the room. A large doorway appeared. Bailee opened the doors and stepped inside. There was a big chandelier in the middle of the room. The candles lit themselves and the logs in the fireplace caught fire. People started filing in. Bailee figured she should teach them the simple spell of disarming first. She stood at the front of the room. The fireplace warmed the room and provided a soft glow. Colin volunteered to duel her. Bailee held up her wand. 1...2...3, Bailee thought Expelliarmus! Colins wand flew out of his hand and he stumbled back a bit.
People started chattering all around the room.
"She didn't say anything!" Bailee heard from her left.
"Ok so to do the spell simply say Expelliarmus and flick your wand like this." Bailee showed them how to again. They practiced for hours even until nightfall. Neville was having trouble with it but by the end he got it. Draco of course was amazing
"Well thank you all for coming, well done everyone!" Bailee said. Everyone clapped.
"Our next meeting will be next week, same time, same place."
As everyone walked out they said "thank you" and "have a good night." Once everyone had gone it was just her and Draco.
"Well done professor." Said Draco jokingly.
Bailee blushed.
"Oh, be quiet." she said mockingly
"I want to see this patronus of yours" Draco said
"Ok," Bailee said happily.
She thought of their kiss in the rain and how they danced.
"Expecto patronum" she whispered. As silver stag erupted from her wand and pranced around the room looking for dementors. It galloped over to Bailee and stood by her side. Bailee reached out her hand to pet it. As soon as she touched it it began to back away, writhing. It was transforming into something else. Standing before her was a beautiful white mare. It trotted around her and tossed its mane back watching her with intense eyes. Then it began changing. It lengthened into long coils. A great snake was now slithering around the room. Bailee flicked her wand. The snake misted away.
They stood there for a moment.
"Well that was weird." Said Draco.
"Yeah." said Bailee, still staring at where the snake was.
"We should get back to our dorms" Draco said
"Yeah," Bailee said.
Draco took her hand and led her back to the Gryffindor common rooms.
