Sunny's POV
"I've never been to a county fair. The rides look kinda sketchy to be perfectly honest, and I'm excited!" Grace Khatri said.
"Me too! Oooh, can we ride that ride that sticks you to the wall?" Lars Sua said. I nodded and then I paid for admission and for all of us to have unlimited rides. We all also had cash for carnival games guaranteed to scam us.
"Where are the rides? Where are the rides? Where are the rides?" Evie Schubert squealed. Mia Fernandez looked around and pointed to a sign. "Right there!" she exclaimed.
We all squealed and collectively ran over to the rides, tripping over trash on the ground, our own feet, and each other to get there. We stopped in front of the Ferris wheel and got in line.
"Who's riding with who? Someone has to ride alone." Lars said. "I call Grace."
"I call Evie." Mia said.
"You guys are so rude to me." I said jokingly. "Fine. I'll ride the stupid Ferris wheel alone." Grace laughed and then we all got on.
I gasped as the Ferris wheel went up and up, and soon my car was at the top and I could see the entire fairground.
"Hey guys!" Lars called from the car in front of mine. "I can see kids with East Bridge shirts!"
"Oh God. Classmates." Mia said.
"I didn't expect to have to deal with social interaction today!" Evie screeched.
"Guys! You're taking all the fun out of this stupid thing!" Grace said. Mia sighed and then I saw her pull out her phone.
"What are you doing?" Lars asked.
"Taking a picture for my sister back home! She asks me for pictures every week!" Mia said.
"Uh, do you think it's a good idea to you know, wait until we're on the ground to do that? If you drop your phone from this high up it'll probably break!" I yelled, hoping Mia could hear me from two cars in front of me.
I don't think Mia could hear me. I don't even think she was listening.
"This is such a great view! Ahh!" Mia squealed. "Okay, just one more picture!"
"Oh God, what are you, a VSCO girl?" Lars said.
"And I oop!" Grace said from next to him.
"Okay, you two, shut up...CRAP!" Mia said. "Guys...I dropped my phone."
"Told ya." I said. Lars sighed and said, "We'll look for it when we get off this thing. I'll take some photos from a safe distance."
"Fine." Mia said. And then the ride stopped. We all got off and Mia looked around for her phone.
"I found it!" Mia yelled.
"Thank God, now let's just eat corn dogs and fried dough and ride rides like nature intended." Grace said
