Evie's POV
"Would you really consider this a 'sleepover' when our dorm rooms are literally three rooms apart?" Grace Khatri asked. I sighed and said, "It'll be fun! We're on school holidays right now, I guess it's an American thing to have a week in February off. So I don't have to worry about homework!"
"Not like any of us really cared about homework in the first place." Lars Sua said under his breath. Grace looked at them and said, "Unlike you, I care about passing school."
"Aren't we on spring break?" Sunny Kobayashi said.
"WE STILL LIVE AT SCHOOL, DIMWIT." Lars said. "Does anyone have a microwave?"
"Oh my God. Lars, I wouldn't trust you with an electrical appliance as far as I can throw a truck. So no, we don't have a microwave and I'm not giving you access to one." Mia Fernandez said.
"We are pulling an all-nighter, it's gonna be chaos, and half of the kids in this school are gone because for some reason they got flights back to their home countries to visit their families so we're probably not gonna get any noise complaints. I also bought a microphone, some ramen, and 10 pairs of flip flops at the Walmart." Lars said.
"TEN PAIRS?" we all said at the same time. Lars giggled and said, "Yeah! They were only one dollar, what a steal. Also, they're your party favors!"
"Why do we-okay. I give up with you." I said. Mia snickered and then Grace said, "Alright, let's confess our deepest, darkest secrets. I'll start. Um...I almost burned my flat down cooking and my mum still doesn't know. I was home alone."
"Didn't your neighbors like, I don't know, call anyone?" Mia asked. Grace shook her head and said, "I played it off like the smoke detector batteries needed to be changed."
"I'll go next. I...I have a boyfriend." Lars said.
"YOU WHAT?" Grace screamed. "Lars, why didn't you tell me?"
"My secret can wait. WHO IS IT?" Sunny screeched. Lars blushed and then said, "He's in my English class...tall...dark hair...sits directly behind Sunny and is her partner for turn-and-talks."
"Wait..." Sunny said. "Is he the British dude?"
"That's the British dude!" Mia said dreamily. "Tyler Harris is gay?"
"Tyler Harris is bisexual." Lars said. "And he's adorable, and he's mine."
"Awwww!" we all squealed at the same time. Lars was blushing up a storm and their cheeks turned a bright pink.
"LARS AND TYLER SITTING IN A TREE-" I started to sing.
"EVANGELINE SCHUBERT! SHUT THE HECK UP!"
__________
"I wonder if the principal lives here." Grace said. I laughed and said, "No, but wasn't that every kid's theory in primary school? That the teachers slept in their classrooms?"
"We go to boarding school. Grace does have a point." Sunny said, eating a Cheeto and licking the dust off of her fingers and giggling. There were bags and bags of junk food everywhere, Grace and I are gonna have a fun time cleaning this up in the morning.
"Does anyone here want my Kit Kat's?" Sunny asked. Lars took them happily and then I noticed Mia sound asleep on the floor.
"It's midnight." Grace said. "We should all probably go to bed."
"No! Do you even know the definition of an all-nighter?" Lars screamed.
"We can do more chaotic crap in the morning, guys. We have a whole week of vacation." I said.
"Fine. Night, y'all." Sunny said.
"Night!"
