Okay I just need to say that the song// A cold freezin night//By the books// is perfect for this chapter

"I don't think I wanna play guys." I said trying to slink off until Paul grabbed my wrist.

"You don't have to play, just stay." His grip tightened on me. His half smile was intended to be comforting but came across creepy.

"I don't-"

"Stay." He ordered, forcing my shoulders down till I thunked back down on the stump next to Victor. I didn't say anything. I just couldn't, my throat felt stuck. Paul blocked me from leaving.

I felt very very small. All of my usual witty remarks that saved me before were suddenly gone. Leaving my tongue dry and withered with their disappearance. Victor kept stealing little looks at me. Licking his lips, fidgeting around, rubbing his hands together.

His face looked more pallid than usual. He was doing that thing he alway did when he was stressed, tugging at the back of his hair. Over and over and over again. I felt phantom touches tingling my back and neck.

"Truth or dare!" Paul cried out. "Who wants to go first?!" His hands landed on my shoulders, shaking them slightly. "Maybe you'll impress the lady!" The game had officially started. The game I wish never happened. The game I wish I could erase.

Everything started off so innocent. Who would you throw out to the grievers? Stories of the past were traded between truths and dares. Even the dares were fun at first. Newt had to have a dick drawn on his face. One boy had to spend a night in the cemetery. Minho had to link his arms with Frypan for the rest of the game. Gally had to switch clothes with Ben. It was fun. Until it wasn't.

I had remained on the sidelines laughing my ass off at everyone. The unease had been swooshed away, only a faint whisper remained. My familiar teasing had flushed back to me. Everyone was smiling, jostling each other around. Guffaws echoed against the Glade's walls.

"Victor, truth or dare?" Paul grinned, his lips twisting around as he did so.

"Dare." Victor said without hesitation. Paul lowered his head in between the both of us. His oily strands tickling my face. He kept the same volume.

"I dare you to kiss y/n." Paul barked.

⚠️TW⚠️: FORCED KISSING

Victor's eyes darted to meet mine. He rubbed his lips together. I shook my head.

"No. No-" Victor grabbed at my face forcing his lips on mine. My entire body was sent into a panic. The kind you get when you almost fall off of stairs and catch yourself. That kind. His tongue just started to snake it's way into my mouth when the palm of my hand smacked as hard as it could across his face.

His head rocketed itself away from the slap. I fell back onto the grass. Tears starting to pierce the corners of my eyes. Heart slamming itself against my rib cage. I let out a shaky breath.

My hands digging into the dirt. Everyone was silent. The joy had been ripped away. My body was shaking, buzzing from nerves. Then everything in my head clicked together. I was going to kill him.

I let out a shriek of disgust that rattled my own bones. I sat on the ground, using my fingernails to scrape whatever of Victor' remnants remained off of my tongue. I struggled up on to my feet, enunciating every word with clarity and unbridled rage.

"I. Am going. To kill you!" Victor covered his face as I sprinted in his direction. Stepping around him I headed straight for the kitchen.

Ripping the drawer open I pulled out something that caused everyone to blurt out words of concern. A knife. As I stalked back to Victor I yelled.

"I am going to carve your tongue out and feed it to the grievers you stupid fucking pervert sick fuck!" Nearing him I raised the sharp, shiny blade up.

"No! Don't let them kill me!" Victor begged.

"Woah woah woah no no no no!" Newt shouted chasing after me. Alby caught me just in time before I could murder Victor. My entire body burned, every limb was on fire. The only thoughts I had were about Victor. About how his head would look really good glued on top of a stuffed animal.

"Let me go! Let me go!" I thrashed around, gripping the knife so hard my hand began to shake. Victor was now standing up, partly hidden behind Paul.

"Jesus Christ they're shucking psycho!" Victor said shrilly. This was the last thing that did it, I became unraveled. It didn't even seem like I was the one doing it but I watched myself pitch my hand back sending the knife with every bit of my strength to soar into the air. And then it landed. Sinking into Victor's thigh.

Another quiet spell fell upon the glade. You could hear a pin drop. Until the blood came. It splurted out everywhere. Even dousing me with a spray of droplets. The wound was like a volcano with the blood gushing out of it. The kitchen knife stuck out of it proudly. People cried out in panic. I stood there, my mouth slightly agape, blinking, numb.

Victor's screams were icy and I almost thought they extinguished the fire from how cold they were. Each one cutting into my flesh, radiating chills out into my body. The life faded out from me, my vision blurring. A delirious smile made my face warm.

"Get y/n to the slammer! Get them to the slammer!" Newt yelled, his voice was so far away. Like he were calling through a tunnel. Alby, who's arms were wrapped around me, restraining me, started to drag me away. And I just let him. Too tired to fight anymore. I crumbled in his grasp. And that's when everything went black.
