Violet POV

Soon after I followed Thorin back to the company i quickly fell asleep beside Kili while Thorin went else where, there was worry pounding in my chest from what bilbo had done...and I had a feeling it was going to backfire quickly.

The next morning I woke up and everyone was gone. "Uh...hello?" I asked out loud. "Lass, come on, let's get your armor on." Dwalin said coming in. I scrambled to my feet as he carried my armor towards me. He put it on me in a rush. "What's going on? Where's Thorin?" I asked as he worked on the leg pieced while I worked on the arms. "Thorin is not happy. We have company in the form of over grown woodland sprites." He said. I hugged and kicked my foot forward he was working on. He glanced at me, "sorry lass. Let's go." He said. I chased after him and we met all the others at the gate...over looking an army of elves infront of the mountain. "What...?" I whispered. I ran to Thorins side and held his arm. "What's going on?" I asked. He looked at me with a displeased look then we both looked at Thranduil and Bard approaching. I looked at Kili utterly confused. Suddenly Thorin armed himself with a bow and shot just before Thranduil's elks feet. Making him stop. "I will put the next one between your eyes." Thorin threatened arming himself again. I bit my tongue, deciding it was not my place to butt in as the dwarves cheered. I stayed quite as Thranduil looked eyes with me. Suddenly the entire elven army pulled back arrows in one swift move. "Shit!" I squeaked and ducked down with Kili and Fili as Well as the rest of the company, except Thorin, who stood his ground. Suddenly we hearing the elves move again and peaked back up. "We have come to tell you payment of your debt has been offered, and accepted." Thranduil said. Thorin growled. "If you think I will let you take her you are dead wrong!!" Thorin yelled defensively. "We are not talking about the girl." Bard replied. "Then what payment? I gave you nothing!" Thorin yelled. "You have nothing!" He said. Thranduil then looked over at Bard, who dug through his jacket, before pulling out the Arkenstone. Thorin looked confused, he lowered his bow. "They have the Arkenstone..." Kili said, "thieves! How came you by the element of our house!!" Kili yelled enraged. "That stone belongs to the king!!" Fili yelled equally furious. "The King may have it," Bard said, "with our good will." He said putting it back in his jacket. "But first, he must honor his word." Bard said. I looked at Thorin, who was shaking his head. "They are taking us for fools, this is a rouz, a filthy lie! The Arkenstone is in this mountain!! It is a trick!!" Thorin yelled angrily. "It's not a trick, the stone is real." Bilbo said coming out of no where. I turned and looked at him. I looked at Thorins face...dwarf...not...happy. "I gave it to him." Bilbo added. Oh...now dwarf is very unhappy. Thorin turned and looked at Bilbo with anger and disgust. "You..." Thorin said shaking his head. "I took it as my fourteenth share." He said looking at the ground. I could see the boiling anger Thorin was hiding...I have to say...i was terrified. "You would steal from me?" He whispered. "Steal from you? No, no I may be a burglar but I like to think I'm an honest one." Bilbo replied. "I'm willing to let it stand against my claim." Bilbo said. "Against your claim?" He said smiling then glaring at him, "your claim, you have no claim over me you miserable rat!" He yelled throwing his weapon down and glaring at Bilbo. "I was going to give it to you... Many times I wanted to...but..." He said. "But what, thief?" Thorin asked. "You are changing Thorin. The dwarf I met in bag end would never have gone back on his word!" Bilbo yelled. "Would never had doubted the loyalty of his kin!! Or made the one he love feel as though she had no reason to keep her life, and give it away!" He yelled. "That...was my decision. Not Thorins, it had nothing to do with any of you..." I said quietly, still trying to bite my tongue. "Violet also agreed, she did nothing to stop me, she encouraged." Bilbo said. Thorins vision snapped to me. I glared at Bilbo. "NO! DONT YOU LAY THIS ON MY SHOULDERS! YOU KNOW DAMN WELL I WAS AGAINST IT!" I yelled at him. "Why did you not STOP HIM!" Thorin asked. "My mind...was clouded...you asked me earlier how I told Thranduil...that's how." I said. Thorin huffed but said no more, "Violet you are forgiven...YOU!" He said pointing at Bilbo. "Do not speak to m of loyalty...Throw him from the rampart!!" He yelled. I looked at Thorin shocked. "Thorin isn't that a little much??" I asked panicked. He looked and grabbed Fili, "did you not hear me?!" He yelled before Fili broke from his grasp. I jumped in front of Bilbo hand on my sword. "Thorin! We are not going to kill him!! Get your head on straight!!!!" I screamed. "I will do it myself! MOVE!" Thorin yelled pushing me out of the way. However he pushed me towards the edge, sending me over. I screamed and grabbed onto the ledge of one of the carvings on the stone. My body dangling. "Violet!!!!" The dwarves yelled. "VIOLET!!!!!!" I heard Thranduil bellow below, Kili and Bofur grabbed my wrists trying to keep me from falling. Thorin ignored it blinding by his rage, put Bilbo over the edge. "Curse you!!! Curse the wizard who brought you on this company!!!!" Thorin bellowed. Suddenly a loud booming voice. "YOU LET GO OF MY BURGLAR!" It was Gandalf. "G-Gandalf!!!!!" I screamed as I felt myself slipping out of Kili and Bofurs grasp. "Please! Don't damage him. Return him, to me! As well as Violet!" He yelled. "Violet will come with me." Thranduil said. "Your not making a very appended figure, mr King under the mountain, are you? Thorin, son of Thrain?" Gandalf said. Thorin looked at Gandalf before letting Bilbo go. He looked down at me, and I saw the anger in his eyes turn to intense horror. He reached down and grabbed me, pulling me back up. "Violet, will not go with you." He yelled. I pushed myself out of his grasp backing away. "Violet?" He asked. I looked at him in disgust before pulling Bilbo to me. "Violet come he-" "WHAT IN MAHALS NAME IS WRONG WITH YOU?!?!?" I screamed. "Vi-" "SHUT UP!! SHUT THE HELL UP!!!!" I screamed. My uttered terror was controlling me, tears where falling down my cheeks. "You just almost killed me!! You pushed me over the edge! I could have fallen and died!!! YOU DIDNT EVEN LOOK TO SEE IF I WAS OKAY!!!!" I said horrified. "And I-it would have been your fault!" I said. "Violet I'm s-" "I DONT WANT TO HEAR IT,!" I yelled before running inside. Thorin grabbed my arm. "DONT TOUCH ME!!!" I screamed ripping my arm out of his grasp.

Thorin POV

I watch as Violet ran inside, she was shaking and a mess, "I'm going to her." Bofur said walking past me. I growled and pushed him back. "You are not going anywhere near her!" I yelled. "THORIN! Do you really think now is the time to do that?! She's in shock! She's traumatized!" Bofur said worried. I looked back at Gandalf, "go." I said before turned back to Gandalf. "Never again will I have dealings with wizards! Or shire rats!" I yelled. "Are we resolved??" Bard yelled. "The return of the Arkenstone for what was promised?" Bard asked. I panted and looked at the sun. "Give us your answer. Will you have peace...or war?" He asked. I heard footsteps behind me. I looked back and saw Violet walking to me, standing beside me. I could see a faint bruise forming from where I hit her when I pushed her on her jaw, she was looking at me with a blank expression. I looked down and saw an axe in her hand. "What are you doing?" I asked. "Well, I'm not going to go to war unarmed. Look to the horizon Thorin...our kin are coming." She said. I looked back. Suddenly a raven flew and landed in front of me...a raven of Erebor. I knew it...my kin...where coming, Violet was right. I looked back over the hill seeing an army of dwarves. "I will have war." I said as I watched them march forward. As our army marched forth we all cheered, even Violet. Suddenly Thranduil yelled in elvish and his army marched towards them. I then noticed my cousin...Dain, lord of the iron hill leading the army.

Violet PoV

As the dwarfish army approched I snuck down the rope Bilbo had and sprinted towards Gandalf and Bilbo. "Viol-" bilbo was cut off. "Shut up I'm not speaking to you." I snapped. "Who is that?" I asked Gandalf looking at the dwarf leading the army. "That is Dain, Thorin's cousin. Lord of the iron hills." He replied. "Are they alike?" I asked. "I've always found Thorin the more reasonable of the two." Gandalf said. "Great. So absolutely not reasonable in the slightest?" I asked. Gandalf said before running off. Bilbo followed, however before I could I was picked up by the back of my Armor and lifted into an animal. I looked and saw the man riding in front of me, Thranduil...I was on his Elk. "What are you doing?!" I asked confused. He looked back at me and continued riding instructing his army. "I thought we made a deal! You wouldn't fight against the dwarves if I gave my life!" I said holding onto him, since on his Elk, it was difficult to ride backseat. "I never agreed, nor will I take your life." He said. "What? Why?" I asked clinging to him, almost being thrown from something, for the second time today. "I will not end the life of my only daughter. "Uh...excuse me?" I asked. "I supposed we can elaborate on that at a more convenient time?" He asked as the dwarfish army approached. "Y-yeah, agreed." I said looking at my half kin approaching. As well as Dain...on a...pig. "Goodmorning! How are we all?" He asked. I couldn't help but grin. "I have a wee proposition, if ye wouldn't mind givin me a few moments of yer time." He said. "Would ye consider, JUST SODDING OFF!" He yelled. I covered my mouth to stifle my laughter. "All of yew! Right now!" He yelled. "Stand fast!" Bard yelled. "Come now, Lord Dain." Gandalf said. "Gandalf the Grey, tell this rubble to leave." Dain said. "Or I'll water the ground with their blood!" He yelled. "There is no need for war between dwarves, men, and elves!" Gandalf said. I jumped off Thranduils Elk and ran to Gandalf's side. "Yeah! There really isn't!!!" I yelled. "Who's this little lady in the sacred armor of our people?" Dain asked looking at me. "Oh, well-" I started to respond...but Kili's remarkable lungs seemed to beat me. "SHES OUR FUTURE QUEEN!" He yelled. Dain looked at me surprised. "Oh really? Well pleasure to meet you," he said bowing his head, though ignoring my words and looked at Gandalf. "A legend of orcs March on the mountain, stand your honor down!" Gandalf urged. "I will not stand down before any elf, or at least not this faithless woodland sprite." He said pointing at Thranduil. I bit my tongue. "He wishes nothing but ill upon my people! If he chooses to stand between me and my kin...ILL SPLIT HIS PRETTY HEAD OPEN!" Dain yelled. I looked back at Thranduil smirking. "See if he's still smirking then. "Go, go back to Thorin." Gandalf said. I nodded and ran back to the mountai before climbing the rope. I looked and saw the dwarves cheering as Balin helped me over the wall. "Where did you go?" Thorin asked. "Well, I just met your cousin." I said panting before looking back. "He's clearly mad," Thranduil said. "LIKE HIS COUSIN!" Thranduil said loudly...that earned a snicker from me and the dwarves to quiet. "Ye hear that lads??" Dain yelled. "Let's give these bastards a good hammering!!!" Dain yelled. Suddenly the entire dwarf army cheered. "No!!" I yelled as I saw the elvish army arming themselves. Though before they did anything we heard loud noises coming from afar. "What's that?" Kili asked. I stood beside Thorin. Suddenly a large monstrous worm creature dove out of the ground, followed by two more. "Oh...come on!" Dain yelled. Suddenly we heard a familiar voice. ((Come forth my armies!!)) It was Azog. A loud horn went off. I covered my mouth. "N-no..." I whispered, gripping Thorins hand tightly.
