a week passed, aiichiro is in her room sorting out her books and notes because she clumsily tripped on a stack and it all flew to different directions. "i hate myself for being so clumsy," she sighs, placing a book on top of the other.
"same, everytime i look at you, you would either trip, fall or bump onto something or someone," her aunt leans at the frame of the door as her arms crosses. the girl turns to her aunt, her eyebrows furrowed at how annoyed she is at the woman but then she also agrees at that fact.
"quickly clean up the mess, i want to bring you to some place," aiichiro glares at her aunt. "maybe help me? because that would quicken up the pace," the girl suggested. hatsuki smiles and walks towards around the room to grab the papers that flew away further from the girl's reach.
"thank you,"
"no problem,"
after completely tidying up the room, they change into clothes suitable for going out. aiichiro wearing her jeans and a light blue shirt, her aunt wearing the exact same but the sleeves were only covering three quarter of her arms. "ah, aiichiro," the girl stops and turn her body to the direction of the older. "wear this," the woman hands her a bracelet.
"for what-" "just wear it," her aunt cuts her off. aiichiro, as the older asked her to, wears it on her wrist. it has a charm thats shaped of an orange cat's face, she admires the shiny charm but her eyes caught something beside her charm. it was another cat but this time its more of mixed tone cat. both charms immediately stick onto each other. "magnetic charms?"
"yeah, i bought it since it looked cute and i thought you would like something like that," the woman smiles softly as she sees her niece's eyes shine at the gift. "kaka, look! we match!" she exclaims happily.
her aunt was like her mother since she was the one taking care of the girl since young. although, she still wonders why her sister doesn't want to take care of such a beautiful and sweet girl like aiichiro.
they got out of the house and follow where the older woman goes. "say, you never tell me where we're going," the girl wonders as she wraps her arm around her aunt's. "its a surprise," she creeps up a sneaky smile. the girl pouts as her curiosity took the best of her.
after a while of walking, they stop infront of a small food stall.
"and we're here because...?" aiichiro's last word tracks off as she tries to look around the stall for a clue. hatsuki only kept quiet as she drags her niece closer to the door, pulling it open. they went in and the older woman walks to the counter, where a staff was standing behind of.
"hatsuki kujou," the aunt only mentions her name and the staff moves away from the counter, telling the other two to follow him.
once they arrive, the woman told the girl to take a seat as she sat opposite of her niece. she looks at the girl who was still looking up, down, left and right of the place. "got an answer?" she asked as she rest her chin on both of her back hand. aiichiro only shook her head, which makes the one opposite of her to frown.
"well, if you still wonder then i guess i should tell you since you are an idiot," the last bit made the girl quickly turn to her aunt as the woman can only laughed at her immediate reaction. "i may be clumsy but i am no idiot," she spits back as she flips the pages of the menu in hand.
hatsuki sighs. "your parents," those words starts making aiichiro feel nervous, her eyes widened. as soon as she does that, her aunt knows that she was scared and that she doesn't want to hear about what she has to say about those two who had never bother seeing their own daughter for 15 years.
"as much as i hate to say it, they are coming over to discuss a few matters," she announced after thinking about whether she should speak or not. "with you? about what?" the girl asked, worry fills her up as bad thoughts starts flowing in her mind.
"no, but with you,"
"discuss what with me? something so important that they finally decide to see me?"
"aiichiro, please order your meal,"
"huh-" her head turns to the waiter who was standing there with a pen and notepad in hand. "o-oh, um, i will get this one," she points at the dish on the menu. the waiter writes it down and walk away to the kitchen.
15 so minutes passed by as their food are ready to be served. they dine in almost immediately. the girl keeps eating, trying her best to distract her mind off of what was told to her earlier. she keeps looking back to back at her aunt like she is some kind of spy.
when everything for them in the stall is all good to go, they exit from the door and walk along the streets. "kaka," aiichiro looks down to her feet as her grip tightened the woman's upper arm. "why do they... want to see me?" she ask, her voice was a mix of worry, sadness and curiosity.
hatsuki looks away as she too doesn't know why they decided to see their daughter all of a sudden. "maybe they regret not taking care of you, regret leaving you like that, they are your biological parents after all. why do you ask?"
"im scared,"
"why so?"
"because i dont know how they are like. to think that two adults who made me, who gave birth to me, wanting to see me after so long is weird... i dont even know how they look like,"
"you do now, aiichiro hirose,"
