baji was shocked. he couldn't move, his legs were stiff as fuck. why was she asking him out? out of nowhere? his heart was beating fast, too fast. he thought he needed an ambulance, stat. the girl he confirms to have a liking of, asked him out. but why?

"w-when?" this guy stuttered. too much information for him to take in. she grabs the back of her neck and looks down on her feet. "this thursday? if you can't go, its alrightー"

"i can go. its so sudden but i'll go. not sure why you want to but if it makes you happy then yea i'll go, i guess," he cuts her off as he tries to find his normal tone while its mixed up with nervousness. she smiled before walking passed him, their backs now facing each other. she turns around and bids him a 'see you' before heading back home.

he waves back at her and walks the opposite way. his face turned red, his lips creeping up a smile, his fist clenching onto his shirt while the other was holding onto the glasses almost breaking it. he was so happy, excited as well. never had he felt like this for so long.

at that point, he really is sure that she was who he has fallen for.

two days passes by and here they are. friday. after school, the both of them rush home. he rushed home quickly. she rushed home quickly. they didn't talk for the passed three days, maybe too nervous about today.

finally ready, he got out of his apartment and bid his mother 'bye' before heading to his bike. he drove to her place and saw her standing there, fidgeting with the strap of the bag she was carrying along. once she saw him arrived, she quickly walks towards him and got on the back.

"where do you wanna go?" he asked, looking at the rear mirror. "how about we go eat first?" he nods and off they went to a food stall. she told him to pick a place to eat so he brought her to his favourite one.

a restaurant not too small but not too big either, it was perfect. there wasn't many people queueing up for it too. so it was the perfect place to eat at. they got themselves a table and a menu. "you should order first, bajiー"

"don't worry, you go first." he interrupts her. she blinks, but takes a look at the menu that she was holding now. as soon as the both of them finally done eating, aiichiro was about to go pay but heard baji stopping her. "i'll be paying for tonight," he took out his wallet and stood up, walking to the counter.

the boy was seriously trying his best to not lose his cool.

as they got out, the two went quiet. "where do you wanna go now?" he asked. she shrugged but actually thought of something for them to do after a short while. she walks to bike and pat on the seat.

"take me to nice place," she smiles widely. he also did. "get on then," he commands as she already did and off they went to wherever baji wants to take her.

when they arrived, baji parked his bike after letting aiichiro to get down first. when the bike is all settled, he told her to follow him from behind but not too far behind, of course. she followed as what he said.

it wasn't that long of a walk to the place he wanted to bring her to but they decided to use that time to know each other abit more. "does your parents ever get busy, baji-kun?" she asked, turning to the guy that is now beside her since he slowed down his pace.

"my dad is busy all the time but my mom is there at home. i helped with the chores too so she wouldn't have to do all the work alone," he answered. she smiles slightly at his sweet response but to only get the same question back at her.

"mine? they never took care of me since i was born. kaka took me home. but i don't mind, she's like a mom to me," her gaze was on her shoes. he felt the sadness in her tone as he gave her a worried look. "but its good that they're busy like hell though. because of them, kaka and i are able to live in a nice place," she continues with something more positive about her parents.

as they continued walking, he got a little closer to her but flinched a little as she sneezed a little too loud. "im sorry, it just started to get a little chilly huh?" she said, rubbing her now red nose lightly. he hummed before stopping his tracks. she stopped as well.

"have we arrived?" she asked but to get no response from him. she tilt her head a little at him as she got more curious at what he was trying to do.

baji took off his grey jacket, revealing only his black third-quarter sleeved shirt. he walks to her back and hung it around her body. his sudden action made her cheeks appear a bright red colour before noticing him already walking forward. she runs closer to him, catching up before thanking him for such a kind offer.

they finally reached their destination as she was in 'awe' at such a pretty nightly view of the water. he brought her to a bridge close to the sea below them. she runs her way to the railings, leaning onto it before looking down onto the sea waves. her reflection wasn't noticeable but the water was shiny with the bright lights from the tall buildings reflecting it.

there was also another bridge opposite of where they were. it was bigger and there were lights decorated on that big bridge. the entire view of it was gorgeous and she wanted to let it stay as it is. baji also watch the mesmerizing view infront of him before turning around to look at the bridge.

seeing her smile like that made him very happy and the fact that it was him who made her smile so widely just adds up more happiness into his life. "aiichiro," she turns to him as he mentions her name.

"thank you," he stops before continuing what he had to say. "for asking me to go out with you today," the smile on his face couldn't get away as every glance he took of her made him smile uncontrollably.

aiichiro hummed before saying what she had to say as well. "no. i should thank you for taking me to such a wonderful place," she felt it. she felt the things that chifuyu mentioned about the signals of falling in love.

but was she really sure?

baji pulls himself closer to her while she suddenly spaces out, leaning closer to her face but as soon as she snaps back into reality he pulled away.

why so? i don't know. but he wanted to, atleast once. that should be enough for him. just once.

the both of finally decided to head home after another long walk to the parking lot. she got off his bike. "goodnight" she bids, about to walk away. but he grabbed her wrist. she turns around to him. only to be greeted with a kiss on her cheek.

he let her go. he waved at her before driving back to his own home. she stood there, completely stunned at his next sudden action. this guy. so bold to do such a thing. what if kaka saw that? she panicked as she turns to the building and look up at her level.

its fine, she didn't see that. she sighed in relief.

as soon as she enters the apartment, her aunt was already standing at the door. her side leaning against the wall as her arms were crossed. aiichiro looks up to face the woman but was surprised to see her smiling so smug-like?

"what is... with the face?" the girl asked, pointing her index finger at the older's little smile. "so it was him you went out with," hatsuki said as her smile got larger. aiichiro's face turned red before she stomps off to her room.

the woman followed and saw her niece already lying down on her bed, front body facing the big soft cushion. "you know, you could've ask me for advice if you did tell me you were on a date," she snickered.

"we weren't on a date. we weren't on a date. we weren't on a date." aiichiro repeats muffling onto her pillow as her aunt continuously laugh at the girl being embarrassed non stop. "fine, but go take a shower before going to bed. you have school tomorrow too so don't forget to prepareー"

"im not going," she muffled again, loud for hatsuki to hear. "why so?" the woman asked. the girl turns her face to the side to breathe more properly.

"i want to spend the day thinking tomorrow," her aunt laughed softly.

"alright then,"
