"baji-kun, don't worry the ambulance are here." aiichiro followed him to the hospital, chifuyu and takemichi as well. the girl couldn't help but grab onto the hem of her shirt tightly.

to which chifuyu noticed quickly and calmed her.

as soon as they reach the hospital, the nurses surrounds the bed where baji was lying down on and rush their way to the surgery room.

aiichiro pumped down to the seat nearby as she covers her face with her hands, trying not to burst out into tears just yet. chifuyu and takemichi was there to comfort her.

it has been almost half an hour and the surgeons are still inside. the three only try to stay positive.

after awhile, a male came out while taking his mask down. aiichiro immediately stood up on her feet as both her hands clenched onto each other against her chest.

"the operation was a success." he announced. the surrounding atmosphere became bright as the three cheered loudly, bursting into tears of happiness.

they shared a group hug. and as they peeled off from each other, they wipe their tears off.

aiichiro couldn't help but continue crying after every wipe. the two boys calmed her down as they smile genuinely.

three days passed since then. aiichiro was on her way to the hospital to visit baji, a bag in her hands as she smiled, excited to give what she have for him.

as she enters the building, she was greeted by the staffs. the girl swung the door open as soon as she arrived infront of his room.

the bright light from the sun shone into the dark room as the strong wind blows inside from the open window, which caused his hair to flow the direction where the wind was going. his brown eyes reflecting the light as now his eyes shine brightly.

he turns his head as he hears the doorknob click open, a smile slowly curled up in his lips at the sight of his girlfriend visiting him.

she grabs a chair and sat beside his bed.

"how is your wound, baji-kun?" he gave her a thumbs up before moving to the edge of the bed to stand up. the girl stood close with her hands up, ready to support him if he ever falls down again.

"y'know, i could get discharged out of this place already." he said, confident enough as he place his hands on both sides of his hips.

"just hold on, you're only left with a week."

"but its so boring in here." he groaned like a child before dropping down onto his bed. forgetting that he had a deep wound, he grunted.

aiichiro chuckled softly before reminding herself that she have something for baji that day. she carried the bag onto her lap and told him to sit down.

he listened and sat criss-crossed on the bed. as she took the object out of the bag, baji only admired her as his thoughts were filled with her beauty. but was soon snapped back into reality as he felt weight on his legs.

a dark blue square box with the brand printed on it as its signature logo decorates the entirety of it so it wouldn't look so blunt.

baji raised a brow at her as she signals him to open it now. he indeed opened the box as it reveals a black jacket. he picks the clothing up and admire the back. it had his name embroidered with 'tokyo manji gang' on the bottom of his name but it was smaller.

his eyes caught something red dangling on the left sleeve. he observes it and it was also embroidered but with 'first division captain'.

he looks at her with a happy look on his face as she laughs at his child-like reaction.

"happy birthday, baji-kun!" she congratulate him, clapping her hands together. baji only sighed in disappointment, having her wonder if he doesn't like it.

"whats wrong?"

"everything on this jacket makes me happy but where the hell is your name?" aiichiro's eyes widened, feeling her cheeks to be getting warmed up at his statement.

"you could've put it on top of my name or maybe the tag here." he continued. "but i guess you are forgiven since your name is already embroidered in my heart." he winked.

the girl couldn't help but turn red at what he had said. she hid her face with the blanket, to which he only laughed.

as she lift her head up, baji got closer to her face. he kissed her on the lips.

visiting hours were about to end as she was about to went off. baji stopped her, she turns around. he told her to come closer and she did while he stood up from the bed.

he didn't hesitate as he slithers his arms around her waist and pull her closer to him. aiichiro raised her hands up, hugging him back as she leaned her head against his chest. the two stayed like that for about ten minutes, baji playing with her hair.

they separate themselves and look at each other, slowly their lips coming into contact with each other.

"visitors are to leave in five minutes. visitors are to leave in five minutes." the announcement of the speaker made her jumped in surprise, to which baji chuckled.

"you should get going." he said, kissing her forehead softly before peeling himself away. "goodnight, take care when you walk home. make sure to feed keiichiro or else he'll bite you in your sleepー"

"ok mom." she joked, turning around to walk to the door. "goodnight.. i love you." she bid before exiting the room and out of the building.

lucky boy, his room's direction was where the entrance was facing. he rushed to the window and wait for her to appear.

as he caught her figure, he shouts her name. aiichiro looked up. he waved his arm widely as she did the same.

he watches her walk away until her figure blends in with the shadow. he jumps onto his bed again, sitting up as he grabs the box and admire the jacket over and over again.

"she bought me something so nice.. wish i could do the same." he said as he was determined to give her the best for her birthday next month.

finally, its been a week since his birthday and he was discharged from the place. he walks out of the building with aiichiro, hand-in-hand.

"aiichiro." she hummed in response, kicking small pebbles as she walks. "do you want anything on your birthday?" he asked her.

she shook her before looking up at him.

"anything is fine as long as its from you." she replied, flashing a grin at him.

baji nodded as he already thought of a gift for her and his mind was set on it as day by day he saves his lunch money and work part-time from three in the afternoon to midnight.

as her birthday was closing in, he rode his bike and head to the shopping complex. he bought her gift and drove his way to somewhere else.

the day had come as he woke up and got ready. the boy drove to her apartment building and when he reached, he knocks on the door. as it swung open, aiichiro was there. her hair messy as she yawned.

"happy birthday aiichiro! sorry for coming over this early-"

"don't worry, kaka usually wakes me up this early so she could serve my breakfast before she head to work." she stated before he could felt guilt for waking her up. she lets him in as he sits on the couch where keiichiro was sleeping on.

"oh yeah. get ready, i want to take you out later in the evening." he told her, gently slapping the cat's leg, purposely disrupting his morning nap. the male laughed at the cat before it comes jumping onto his face.

he soon successfully got the cat out of his face, carrying it infront of him.
