twenty three

aiichiro was ready to head out of her house as she wore the slippers that match her kimono. she bid her aunt a see you and pat keichiro before closing the door.

walking there was thankfully safe. she told baji that she'll head over to his place but when be declined that, she begged him saying that she'll be fine walking her way there. and she was safe.

the girl knocks on the door twice before stepping back abit so that the door won't swing open and hit her. the door reveals the boy who was in his toman uniform for some reason. she raised a brow.

"why are you wearing the uniform?"

"why are you wearing a kimono?"

the both of them laughed after hearing that they spoke at the same time with the same words. she stood up again and observe him from top to bottom. her face became serious. "seriously, why are you in toman uniform?"

"oh this? i just felt like it," he gave her a lousy answer as her eyebrows went up. he gave her a look before asking her the same thing about her kimono. "oh i just felt like it," she respond with the same thing he said.

he walked out of the door and to the rails, leaning onto it while looking out at the view. the girl only turn her body to his direction as she fidgets with the hem of her sleeve. it was about to turn dark and chilly. the both of them stayed that way for a little while before he grabs her hand and hold on to it.

"your hands so damn cold," she scoffed. "and what? are you saying that your hands are warm?"

"im not sure if they are warm but as long as it warms you up then yea, they are," he gave her a playful smile as her cheeks turn a slight tint of red. the boy chuckled at her reaction.

the couple then continue to look at each other, eye to eye. their face got closer to each other, lips about to meet. she slowly close her eyes, waiting for him to come forward. he did but only to turn his head up to give her a kiss on the forehead.

she pouts and quickly cover her forehead with her hands. he smiles smugly, knowing she was expecting a kiss on the lips. "you're just so cute," those words came out of his mouth as both of their faces turned red. baji didn't expect himself to say that and the girl was surprise to hear him say such things.

things calmed down a little. "ah, wait here," she obeyed and stand there, watching him went inside his apartment. he came back out of his home with a silver bracelet. it was a solid round one and he showed her a pair. "its not much, sorry if it isn't what you want it to be likeー"

"baji-kun," she cuts him off as he blinks at her. she flashes a soft smile at him. "i love it" she then proceeds to wear it on her right wrist since her left one had the bracelets that hatsuki gave her. his lips curled up to a genuine smile as she admires the simple yet meaningful accessory.

he doesn't know why but he held both of her hands, clenching onto them not too tightly. he held it up between them. "you... you are the most precious human being i have ever known. you make me smile, daily. anything you do makes me happy," those exact words repeats in her brain as he continues. "i always promise myself to protect those who are precious to me. and i want to continue protecting that precious someone."

her eyes widened when the next thing he said to her made her heart beat so fast, it felt like it could come out from her chest at any moment that time. "this little thingy," he shakes the same silver bracelet that he had on his wrist. "is a promise from me to you. a promise to which i will protect you until.. we're old enough toー" he paused before continuing.

"to get married and that is where i will swore to protect for life," he pressed his lips and furrowed his eyebrows. she chuckled softly while still being red. he let go of her hand and scratch his neck, sighing at what he said. "that sounds so stupid. im sorry" she shook her head.

"thats sweet of you, baji-kun, and i will promise to protect you to," he scoffed and raise a brow, asking her how. in which she only look away and think about her respond to his question.

they continue to enjoy each other's company outside of his home. but happy moments don't always last forever when a call from a friend of yours ask for your help in a big brawl between your gang and another.

he put his flip phone back inside his pocket before wearing his white boots properly. aiichiro looks at him confused to why he was rushing suddenly. "moebius is attacking draken, i need to help. i'll see you soon, okay?" she nods, waving her hand at him as he drive off.

aiichiro sighs as she looks down on her kimono. she decides to walk back to her apartment.

almost an hour passed by as she was already at home, now in her comfy clothes. she was bored and only switch channels of the television. apparently she was home alone because hatsuki had a sudden urgent meeting to head to.

so.. bored~ she thought to herself as she leans her head back, now staring at the ceiling. she continues thinking that she could've gone to the festival with yashiro and nana, from there she could introduce them to emma and hinata. boom, a big girl group filled with fun.

but here she is, in the living room. watching television. feeling nothing but boredom.

her eyes suddenly gaze to her right wrist. suddenly, it felt empty. its as if there was suppose to be something there. "oh!" she quickly sat up. "wah!" she starts looking around the couch. "where is it?!" she lift up the cushions to see if it was under it but no sight of it.

she snaps her fingers. "its must have dropped at the corridor," aiichiro rushed her way there, sprinting as fast as she could. rain starts pouring and she didn't bring her umbrella but she doesn't care. if she's going to get soaked, then let her get soaked in the heavy rain.

as soon as she reached, she stops and catch her breath before continuing to go up the stairs. when she reached, a shiny light caught her eyes as she quickly walk towards it. "there you are," she picks it up and brush off the dirt before putting it on.

about to head home, a figure infront of baji's apartment building stopped her from moving. "hello, may i help you with anything?" she asked nicely. but slowly she took steps backwards while they move closer to her. she decided to run up again and go inside baji's place.

and she did run. but towards the stairs, someone else was already there ready to shut her up before she could even call for help.

"goddamn, this girl sure is tough," a tall blonde male spoke while holding onto her tightly with one arm and the other free hand keeping her mouth shut.

"lets go already," another figure appeared behind him, he was partially bald and much more bigger than the blonde guy. the blonde nodded and follow the big guy from behind. the big dude clicked his tongue as his gaze went to the unconscious girl who was carried bridal style in the blonde's arms.

"why the hell does he need this girl for anyway?"
