eighteen

summer arrived. baji, chifuyu, aiichiro, yashiro and nana decides to go on a touring from shinjuku to shibuya. yashiro and aiichiro planned on that together just to see what they can see or do. beach, shopping complex, things like that.

nana wasn't able to come though. she had something going on last minute.

"its so quiet without nana," yashiro complains as she tilt her head up looking at the blue sky while also focusing her grip on the rear behind her. "don't worry im here," chifuyu said before smiling at the three of them, turning his head back to the front to focus on the road. "hold on tight, this is a sharp turn,"

the two bikes turned swiftly. "wahー" aiichiro slipped her hand from the rear almost falling off but quickly wraps her arm around baji's waist from behind tightly, her eyes closed shut. she heard the boy laugh a little but also received a light pinch on his side.

yashiro and chifuyu looks at them. "look at them, all lovey dovey and whatnot," the girl observes them as the blonde boy infront of her nods. "in this scenario, we're the side characters in their love story," he told her as she hummed and nodded at his statement.

yashiro's eyes darted away from the two but to end up seeing a beach. she uses her right hand to grab on a handful of his jacket as she pulls him back, almost causing him to cause a crash. "oi! if you want me to stop driving, just say so!" he nags. she apologises.

"oh its that beach," aiichiro notices the similar view of it when she and the two boys went out together that day. baji's cheeks had a tint of red as he remembered that was the time he realised his feelings for her. "lets go!"

once they reach, the girls immediately went to change into their beach outfits as the boys find for a spot. took them awhile to find one since it was quite crowded with other people.

"baji-san, are you not going to change?" the blonde boy wonders as he took off his shirt, ready to jump into the waves. the other boy shook his head. "i'll wait for the other two to arrive then i'll come over," chifuyu nods before dashing into the water.

"oohhh~ its been so long since ive went to the beach, right aiichiro?" yashiro turns to look at her friend, her eyes wide slightly as she watches her struggle abit with her swimsuit. "sorry, is it too tight?" aiichiro shook her head. "its a little bit tight on the back," she turns around to her side as yashiro's mouth shaped into an 'o'. "damn curves," she said as the other girl only blushed at the words.

the both of them head to where baji was sitting. they called for him as he looks at their direction. "you're not going in?" yashiro asked as she placed her clothes down nicely. "i'll change later, you guys can go join chifuyu first," she nods and runs her way to him, making the biggest splash at his face.

baji was about to take off his shirt but his eyes caught aiichiro standing awkwardly behind him. "what's wrong?" he raised a brow at her as she scratches the back of her neck. "nothing, just.. feel a little weird," she response. both her hands at the back, grabbing onto the swimsuit as she stretches it so it wouldn't hug her back so tightly.

"here," he throws his jacket at her face. she flinched a slight bit before grabbing it with her hands. he signalled her to wear it and she did as he told. feeling slightly better, she walks beside him and sat down. "not going to join them?"

"why? are you?" she asked back. "maybe. wanna go together?" he was already standing up but his direction was at her. she shook her bead and told him that she'll join in a little later. but he denied that excuse and grabs her hand, making her stand up as well. "but yourー"

"don't worry, im here." he assures her with a smile as well. she smiled back and took off the jacket before getting dragged to the sea. the both of them laughed at the view of yashiro splashing water at chifuyu in many ways as the blonde boy slips his footing from the sand and drops into the water. don't worry, he got up back.

they had alot of fun at the beach so now they decided to clean up and head to someplace to eat. the four of them chatted here and there while eating.

it was almost midnight but they still want to roam around and explore the place. so of course, the two girls have to let their parents/aunt know about it. they were able to stay for a little longer. they stopped midway of a highway road as they all admire the mesmerizing view of car lights zooming from one side to the other and streetlights lighting up the place a little brighter.

"we should go out like this more often. with nana, of course." yashiro added while leaning on the railing more but was stopped when her worried friend pushed her back gently. "don't lean too much," aiichiro warns.

a few minutes passed by as yashiro's flip phone buzzed loudly. her mother was calling, worried probably. she head home with chifuyu sending her. and there they are, alone at last.

aiichiro continues to rest her arms on tbe rails, her eyes stuck on the pretty nightly view, while baji sits on the side of his seat where the bike was leaning. "today was fun, dont you think so, baji-kun?" she turns behind to see him. he nods in response.

"the beach was too fun, i hope we could go again someday," she continues hoping for the day to come. he kept staying silent while he looks at the girl instead of the view behind her. "when was the last time you went to the beach, baji-kun?" she asked him another question, hoping he would say something and he did.

"two years ago," she was surprised but then again, she too hadn't gone to the beach for so long. he starts remembering that certain memory two years ago and laughed at himself when he was reminded the time when mikey kick his precious moped. the girl only got confused as to why her boyfriend was laughing all by himself.

im dating a weirdo but i love him anyways. she thought.

his eyes gaze at her staring at him with the same face before grabbing onto the hem of his jacket that she was wearing, pulling her closer. she looks down at him since he was sitting on his bike. to only caught her lips onto his, suddenly. but this time, she didn't seem to pull back as they stayed that way a little longer. his hands slithered around and grabs her waist. she didn't really do anything as she was way too caught up in such a simple yet loving kiss.

they pulled away. shortly after that he pulls her closer to him by the waist as he stands up. his arms moves from her waist to around her neck as he catches her in his embrace. she wraps her arms around his waist. his face leans forward to her shoulder, sinking. the night was so cold but to them, holding each other like this was enough to keep themselves warm.

"i love you," he whispers to her ear, his head still sinked onto her shoulder. "i love you," he repeats as she slowly turns red the more he said. he said it one last time. "i love youー"

"baji-kun," she cuts him off. he stopped and lift his head up. knowing already what his reaction was, she chuckled softly as she turns to him. her beautiful lavender eyes looks at him softly. "i love you too," she said it back. he blinks rapidly before sinking onto her shoulders again. she groaned. "you're so clingy right now,"
