both of them head to aiichiro's apartment building. they bid each other 'goodnight'. she walks up the stairs and to her apartment. as soon as she reaches, she saw hatsuki leaning on the rails. "kaka, why aren't you inside?"

"i was waiting for you. and i saw you two getting comfortable with each other," the woman smirked at her niece as the girl's face turns red, realising her aunt probably saw what happened before he drove off. "nice jacket you got there," the older continues as she points at the clothing the girl was wearing.

aiichiro didn't blush again this time but jumped at the realization that she forgot to give it back before leaving. but he already left, what can the girl do now?

hatsuki continues to tease the younger one as it seems fun to do so.

they stayed outside for a little longer, aiichiro listens as the other female talk about her past love life and thats what resulted her to not have a lover anymore. the girl tries her best to cheer her up, telling her that she'll find a good man one day.

after a while, hatsuki finally decided to tell the girl about what she was told of from her brother-in-law. aiichiro's eyes widened as those words comes out of her aunt's mouth. her mother got herself into an accident, it wasn't a big one so the injuries weren't that critical. "will she be okay?" she asked, concerned. the other nodded in response. "but she needs to stay hospitalized for a few more days,"

the girls nodded once before going inside with her aunt. almost immediately, she took a shower and went to her room. why was she rushing? she too doesn't know why. but she did fall asleep once she lay down on her bed.

a week passed by and baji came over to her place so he could ask her to help him with his math schoolwork.

and it was rather stressful for her.

"no baji-kun, you were suppose to divide thatー"

"i did divide! look at the equation," he points at his paper as she squints her eyes and moves her head closer to the paper. "thats a minus.. right?" she asked him before turning her head to his direction. he shook his head. "thats a divide sign," she blinked rapidly.

she leaned back. thats a.. divide? she asked herself as she continues staring at the equation on his paper. "no way," she grabs the paper and place it close to her face. he clicked his tongue before taking it back.

"you should write them a little further away," she suggested, her gaze staying at him. "you write the equation way too close to each other," she criticizes his writing as he rolled his eyes. the girl laughed at how sassy his eyeroll was.

after two hours of studying, aiichiro decided to go out to the convenience store. "c'mon, i'll treat you today because you work hard," she said, tilting her head to the door. before he could even say anything, she already grab his hand and drag him out of the apartment.

they enter the store and she lets go of his hand. "what do you want, baji-kun?" she asked him as they both walk down every aisle, looking up and down. until the boy stops his footsteps and grabs two bowls of peyoung yakisoba.

once they bought everything they picked up and heat up the food, they decide to sit down at a park not to far from where they were.

"feed me~" he begged as he rest his chin on his palm. aiichiro shook her head and continues eating her bowl. "don't be lazy and feed yourself," she said before her eyes darted at his bowl. "or i'll finish your's" she warns him, pretending to grab his bowl that was on his lap.

his hand immediately grabs onto her hand, placing it close to his face as he kisses the back of her hand. "what if i do this? will you feed me now?" she didn't say anything since she was busy blushing. he laughed, letting go of her hand. "then i'll feed you, mkay?" her mouth quickly opens wide as the taste of peyoung yakisoba blessed her tastebuds.

"how cute!" a familiar voice shouted at them from a distance as both of their heads turn to the direction of the sound. there reveals mitsuya, draken and emma.

aiichiro's face lit up as soon as her good friend waves at her. "emma!" the both of them ran to each other and hugged tightly. "i see you and baji are getting along," emma smirked while the other girl tries her best not to turn red.

before aiichiro could say anything, she felt an arm around her shoulders as her body was pulled towards his. "we're getting along well," baji proudly states before comtinuing what he wants to say to emma. "you should make a move too," the sandy blonde girl was flushed as she looks down to the ground.

the couple laughed at her shy expression. "oi emma," draken walks to her, handing her a can of drink from the vending machine. "your's" he told her before opening his own can and drink from it. aiichiro's mouthed shaped into an 'o' while her hand covers it. emma clicked her tongue at her friend's reaction as her face continues to turn red.

"well, we need to go now. mikey needs all this dorayaki," mitsuya interrupts as he felt like he was fifth wheeling. draken and emma nodded and bid the other two a 'goodbye'.

as soon as the three of them disappear from eye shot, aiichiro got a call from her little flip phone. she took it out from her pants pocket and answer it immediately. "hello?"

"aiichiro" the sad depressing voice came from non other than hatsuki, who was breathing heavily from the other line. that which got the girl worried as fuck. "what's wrong, kaka? did something happened?" she continues asking similar questions. baji was also as worried as the girl.

her eyes suddenly were wide opened when the words from her aunt came right out of her mouth. she kneeled down to the ground almost immediately as baji quickly pats her back and help support her to stand. she starts panting loudly as those words continues repeating in her mind, ringing in her ears like an alarm.

"your mother, she passed away"
