You get kicked to the ground by your uncle who's now standing on top of you.

Uncle: "come on kid you got to be quicker then that if you want to win" he says while reaching his hand out for you to grab it.

You grab his hand, he lifts you up and dust's you off "I know I need to get stronger and faster but what if I can't control this power" you say while putting edged observation away.

Uncle: "yes well your moves are too obvious" He says with a smirk.

F/n: "What's that supposed to mean" you say while putting your hands on your hips.

Uncle: "it means you only go for straight attacks to where instead" he transforms his axe into a naginata and points it at your throat " you could keep your opponent guessing".

Your eyes light up do to the sight of your uncles weapon transforming into a different weapon

F/n: "I've never seen it do that before"

Uncle: "exactly you've never seen it before because like Qrow's scythe I only use it for emergencies" the naginata transforms into its axe form "now then come at me again"

F/n: "Really" you say with a annoyed tone

Uncle: "Yes now let's go" he gets into a battle stance as you examine his stance and wait for him to make the first move

You get into a battle stance and draw edged obsidian he runs out you with a down slash from his axe, you move to the left and pull out your handheld crossbow and fire a bolt at him, your uncle is surprised but easily doges the bolt and round house kicks you into the wall. You hit the wall so hard you leave a cartoon like imprint on it

Uncle: "that's how it's done nice job" he helps you up "you really surprised me with your crossbow"

F/n: "I wasn't even thinking about it to be honest" you say as you fold your crossbow and put it back into your pouch

Uncle: "ok well I think that's enough for now your are certainly improving with your combat skills how ever I want you to keep practicing that technique that I taught you yesterday".

F/n: "ok sir!" your uncle hugs you and walked away.

You sit down due to exhaustion from getting your butt whooped you decided to walk to the kitchen to get your self a class of water, however as your walking down the hallway you and Ruby see each other Ruby puts her head down an keeps walking past you, you clinch your fist and sigh.

F/n: "W-Where are you headed" you say after taking a deep breath.

Ruby stops in her tracks. "U-Um" she says nervously

F/n: "Well go on spit it out" you say with a annoyed tone

Ruby: "T-To"

F/n: "T-To what" you say as you walk closer to her.

Ruby: "T-TOO GO SEE OZPIN AND QROW" she blurts out

You rub the back of your nape "the kitchens that way and I'm thirsty so Is it ok if I go with you" you say with a embarrassed tone

Ruby blushes and nods her head, you both begin to walk to the living room where you see ozpin and Qrow drinking coffee

Ruby: "u-um excuse us"

Ozpin: "Ahh miss L/n and mr L/n I mean Miss rose please join us we were just about to gather everyone to discuss our next steps"

Ruby: "Oh great!"

You sit down on the couch as Ruby stands behind you

Qrow: "Something on your mind kiddo?"

Ruby: "Uh if it's ok to ask?"
