Volume five chapter 8 the aftermath

You wake up to some giggling outside, you get out of bed and see what's going on. You look out your window to see Ruby, Weiss and Yang outside talking, you roll your eyes and walk towards the bathroom to take a shower. As your in the shower you remember something your uncle told you last night

Uncle: "listen what you did was wrong but you did what you felt was right"

F/n: "how is it my fault that I broke her heart she broke mine first I didn't want to do what I did but I had too"

Uncle: "women are like a sculptor you treat them with care it's a beautiful pice of art but if you drop it you shatter it's whole existence"

F/n: "that's a kinda messed up thing to say about women" you say while rubbing the back of your neck.

Uncle: "yes well I had my fair shares of relationships"

You snap back to reality as the water starts getting hotter and hotter you quickly change it to cold. After your shower you get dressed and walk downstairs to see a note on the table, you walk towards the table and pick up the note and read it  "I didn't have the courage to talk to you so here I want you to have it back" you in fold the rest of the note and something falls out and hits the floor. You put the note back on the table and look to see what fell so you bend down to see it's a necklace you take a closer look at it and realize it's your mother's necklace.

Ruby's POV

After talking to yang and Weiss I walk back to see
F/n looking at the note I left for him, I sigh as I see him reading it I turn around to leave him but I bump into F/n's Uncle

Don: "Well hello Mrs Rose"

Ruby: "H-Hi mr Don"

Don: "So how are you holding up Qrow told me what happened"

Ruby: "I-I'm fine but I can't help but know that it's my fault"

Don: "Nonsense he's always been a hot head and besides he's still mourning his parents"

Ruby: "I know that's why I feel bad I shouldn't have said that"

I Turn around to see F/n putting on his mother's necklace. F/n's uncle puts his hand on my shoulder and smile at me

Don: "who knows maybe once he's done mourning his mommy and daddy I'll keep him in black... on your behalf" he says with a serious tone

I look up at him as he's giving me a serious stare with black lines going all over his face. He pats my shoulder and walks away

Ruby: "W-Wait what do you mean"

F/n's uncle stops in his tracks and looks at me.

Don: "You'll see Mrs Rose you'll see"

He continues waking as I burst down in tears and fall to my knees Nora walks up behind me and comforts me

Nora: "Is everything ok Ruby"

Ruby: "I-I don't know Nora I don't know" I say as I hug Nora crying on her shoulder.

F/n's POV

You turn around to see your uncle waking towards you, He puts his arm around you taking a look at the necklace your wearing.

Uncle: "Bell never took that off after your father gave that to her"

F/n: "really?"

Uncle: "yeah when we were on that team they never laid eyes off of each other always protecting each other and helping they were really in love"

F/n: "Did you ever get upset at my dad"

Uncle: "Some times he went a little to far but no I was never really upset at him believe it or not Qrow tried picking up your mother multiple times but failed miserably"

You snicker at his comment, your uncle pats your shoulder and walks off you wave bye to him.

Uncle/Don POV

???: "your pushing your self to far with this lovey dovey stuff it's not going to work he won't join us"

Don: "he will I'm sure of it"

I open the door to my room and see ozpin siting there like he was waiting for me

Ozpin: "Don sit down"

I sit down in a chair across from ozpin crossing my arms

Don: "something you need Oz"

Ozpin: there has been word going around haven that a powerful creature has escaped a lab 300 miles away from here and is looking for a new host

Don: "What do you mean a new host"

Ozpin: "it was a creature strong enough to keep Aroura in check in case she ever got free again"

Don: "mhm so why this one though"

Ozpin: "it's more known as the demon of the snake  because it has the same abilities as Aroura but it's her arch enemy"

Don: "Well I don't know anything but I'll keep in eye out Any idea of it's name?"

Ozpin: "Yes it's Elias"

Don: "Ok well if I know anything I'll let you know"

Ozpin: "Thank you"

Ozpin gets up and leaves my room, I lean back in my chair.

Don: "So your name is Elias huh"

Elias: "Yes It is"

Don: "we've been together for a year now and you never told me your name"

Elias: "It was never important to the mission"

I put my feet up on my desk.

Don: "Whatever you damn snake we have them right where we want them"

Elias: "What did you call me?!"

I close my eyes for a few seconds and when I open them back up I'm in a bright white place, I look around to see what is going on until I see a giant snake with one eye looking down on me.

Don: "So that's what you look like"

Elias: "this is one of my many forms"

I walk closer to him and look at him straight in the eye.

Don: "where am I"

Elias: "in your soul I brought you here to discuss what would happen if your nephew doesn't accept what we tell him"

Don: "He will"

I begin to walk away from Elias and think about F/n

Elias: "And if he doesn't what then?"

Don: "I'll take him by force." I continue to walk away from Elias " Oh and if that doesn't work And Aroura gets free I'll take care of it Don't need you getting killed too" i stop in my tracks "Now how the hell do I get out of here"

Elias: "I'm working on it"

I close my eyes and open them again to see that I'm back In my chair. I get a notification from my scroll I pull it out and look at it "we got the spring Maiden be ready for phase two" I roll my eyes and go back to sleep

F/n's POV

You begin get ready for bed, you sit on your bed and notice that it's empty you sigh and lay down and begin to fall asleep

F/n: "goodnight ruby"

Ruby's POV

Ruby: goodnight F/n
