Qian Wei kept a close eye on Lu Xun from the moment he stepped into the office the next day but, unfortunately, this guy didn't show the slightest change in his appearance or behavior! He was clearly planning to go on his first ever blind date that evening, but he acted completely nonchalant, really hiding so deeply!

Eventually, the afternoon rolled around and, sure enough, at exactly 5:30 p.m. Lu Xun took a brief look at his watch before standing up and leaving the office. The sudden change from his usual style of crazily working overtime like he wished there could be more hours in a day even made their colleagues begin to whisper and speculate.

As soon as Lu Xun left, Qian Wei packed up her things and followed him out. She found a taxi and went straight to Hyatt's Western Restaurant, ready to create a 'chance encounter'.

There actually weren't that many people in the restaurant at this time of day, and Qian Wei was quickly able to spot Lu Xun at a table by the window after a single scan of the area. Sitting at the same table opposite of him, there was a girl with long and curly hair, red lips, white teeth, and two lively eyes that seemed to sparkle with admiration as she stared at Lu Xun with her pale and dainty hands cupping her cheeks. Looking at her, her eyes seemed to be full of a kind of naive and wholehearted trust, but that wasn't the main point! The main point was that the always unsmiling, expressive as a rock, and overall strange tempered Lu Xun was actually smiling back at her, and his smile was clean and pure, seemingly completely defenseless!

Seeing that scene, Qian Wei could feel her mentality collapsing. She really couldn't stand to look at such a Lu Xun.

"Miss, are you alone? Would you like me to arrange a table for you?"

Because the restaurant was very quiet at the moment, when the waiter spoke his voice carried throughout the room. Over by the window, Lu Xun subconsciously looked over at where the voice had come from, and when his eyes fell on Qian Wei they widened with surprise: "Qian Wei?" He blurted unconsciously. He stared at her, his eyes fixing themselves on her ten-centimeter high heels and her long red skirt, and his lips pressed themselves into a thin line as he asked, "Did you have another date here too?"

The high heels and red skirt were actually Liu Shiyun's suggestions, her reasoning being that if Qian Wei planned to go and stir things up at a blind date, she would need to upgrade her equipment no matter what.

Feeling Lu Xun's eyes on her, Qian Wei's palms began to sweat nervously. She forced out an awkward smile and began spouting nonsense in her confusion: "Yes, I have a date."

"Zhou Qing?"

Without thinking, Qian Wei nodded along and agreed: "Yes."

"Oh."

"Brother Lu Xun, who's this?" The girl with curly hair sitting across from Lu Xun blinked her dark eyes and looked over at Qian Wei with curiosity.

Lu Xun's expression had turned a little ugly. Probably no one would be in a good mood if they ran into a co-worker while on a blind date. In the end, he just glanced at Qian Weii and said succinctly, "A colleague."

In her mind, Qian Wei was roaring: Brother Lu Xun?! Since when did Lu Xun get a sister?! Do you two know each other very well?! Have you two known each other for a long time?! When you were certifying your newfound sibling relationship, did you get my, Qian Wei's, consent?!

For the first time, Qian Wei was very angry with Lu Xun's sultry and seductive appearance. It seemed he really was a flirtatious man who spent all his time attracting bees and butterflies!

Although her heart was full of complaints, Qian Wei could only plaster a smile on her face and say: "Anyway, I won't bother you two. I'm going to go sit down and wait for my date."
