I pulled over near the train tracks, where I like to hang out by myself whenever I feel down. Grabbing a blanket from the trunk, I put that over Sohyun's shoulder to make sure he's warm.

"I thought they were doing better. Turns out I was completely wrong." His tears flowed down his face nonstop.

"That's their problem, not yours. You didn't do anything wrong." I patted his back.

"This is super weird," he suddenly smiled out of nowhere with tears. "You being nice to me. It's really odd."

"I'm an asshole to some extent, but when family's involved..." I took a deep breath. "I know it can get difficult. My family isn't all sugar and rainbows too."

"You can talk to me if you need anyone." He mumbled and I was a bit left in shock. Nobody has ever said that to me, everyone kind of just assumes I'm fine. My "friends" just use me for popularity, but when I actually need somebody to talk to it's like they don't exist.

We shared our concerns to each other, then moving onto other random topics to try and divert ourselves from the pain. All that while watching the sunset.

"I'm always here too, if you need me. This is my spot... I guess yours now too. It's the best place to watch the sunset," I told him and he agreed. "Don't tell anyone about this, though! It's our secret."

"As if I'd have someone to tattle to. Did you forget that you basically created an army at school to hate me? I literally have a fanclub of Sohyun antis." He joked.

"I'm still gonna bully you. Don't take it to heart though, I actually care about you." Those words accidentally slipped out of my mouth, and I swear I wanted to jump onto the train tracks right there and then.

"You have a crush on me, don't you?" He giggled. "It makes so much sense!"

"We've only known each other for like a month?" I looked at him and laughed. "And I don't do crushes or relationships. That's so corny."

"You trying to hold yourself back is more corny." He rolled his eyes.

"Why? Do want to date?" I took his hand in mine and he trembled.

"No way! Never." He quickly pushed me away and I just snickered.

"You have so much to say for such a small boy. I can literally destroy you," I commented and his eyes grew wide. "I meant like... fold you or something, punch you... never mind."

"I don't know if I feel safe right now or scared. You give off such an odd aura." Sohyun rest his head on my shoulders and closed his eyes.

"You're weird too." I chuckled and rest my head on his. We stayed like that for a while before getting the signal that a train's about to come.

We ran to my car, laughing at the near life and death experience we just faced. I didn't even realize we were holding hands, since the adrenaline rush earlier was so high.

"You're fun to be around, not gonna lie." I brushed my fingers through his short hair.

"Same goes for you." He pinched my cheeks and I suddenly felt flustered.

"Do you wanna go home now or would you like to sleepover at my place? My parents have surgeries in another city, so they won't be coming home for a while." I gave him the options and he blanked out for a moment.

"Uhm... I don't really want to go home, but I also don't think my parents will let me sleepover at your place." Sohyun pouted.

"Tell them that there's lots of people here with you." I taught him to lie and he just chuckled.

"I'll try." He took his phone out and began dialling his mom.

Sohyun put it on speaker while it rang, and honestly my heart is pounding just as much as his. It's nerve racking and we literally just ran from the train tracks.

"Hi, baby! Where are you?" His mom's voice is hoarse.

"I'm with my friends right now! Is it okay if I sleepover at his house? All my friends are here..." he looked down and the guilt seemed to have hit him. "Actually-"

"Yes! Stay over there for now, that would be for the best... do you want me to drop you off some clothes?" His mom's voice changed. She sounds relieved.

"No, it's fine! I can just borrow from him." He looked at me and furrowed his eyebrows.

"Perfect! I love you, sweetheart. Have lots of fun there!" She said before hanging up.

"Your mom is allowing us to have lots of fun." I wiggled my eyebrows.

"Shut up!"
