I could barely focus on the trip after the news I obtained from Sohyun. My sister has a lot of explaining to do once I get back home... like, why did I not know about this? My parents must have covered it up too.
"Are you okay? You seem to have a lot in mind." Sohyun cupped my face and made me look directly into her eyes. I just pulled her closer, embracing her tight.
I'm sure she would become distant if I tell her about what I've discovered. I mean, it's not technically my fault? It's my sister's problem, not mine... but at the same time, being related to her automatically drags me in. I always say I'm nothing like her, but that doesn't seem to be the case in this situation. Choosing to stay silent is just as bad.
"I'm just very happy you're mine..." I gave her a little peck on the top of her forehead. "You mean the whole world to me. If anything happens, please believe me first. Don't lose your trust in me."
"Why? Did something happen?" She suddenly became concerned.
"No. It's just in case... you know, there are many people who are against us. They could make stuff up." I stated. It hasn't been long since that gang harassed her.
"That's true," she rest her head on my chest and pouted. "I know you though. I know you won't lie to me."
That suddenly made me feel guilty. I'm not keeping this a secret because I want to... it's for her own well-being. Her brother's been deceased for more than ten years, so that news wouldn't help her in any way.
We went out for the day, trying out new drinks and activities. We even went dirt biking, which I found very fun! The amount of happy footages I got is splendid, making me excited to edit that vlog.
"Don't you think there's a lot more out there? I mean, our world is made out of like seventy-percent water... mermaids might actually exist," Sohyun brainstormed. She has no idea I've been recording her this whole time. "If I ever die, I wanna be reincarnated as the ocean."
"If that's the case, then I'd be the sky so I could look at you all day and night." I mumbled quietly and she chuckled.
Her bangs were lightly brushing away from her face because of the wind, giving me a better chance to stare at her soft features. Her simplicity and modest nature has me down bad for her. I don't think I'll ever find a woman like her again within this lifetime.
"Thanks for coming into my life." I told her wholeheartedly. My hands wrapped around her waist as I embraced her from the back. I laid my chin on her shoulders.
"I could say the same to you." She closed her eyes to cherish the moment.
Days like this.
I just never want it to end.

I pouted once I woke up the next day and realized that it's time to leave. The precious memories from this trip, I'll always keep them safe in my heart.
I realized that my boyfriend's still asleep, so I went to the washroom and began taking a video with the camcorder. It's a video message that he can watch on our wedding day. I made a warning in the first part, in case he ever stumbles upon it.
"Ready to go home?" I asked Beomgyu once he got up. He let out a long exhale.
"Not really, but we can't be here forever." He sulked.
"I wish we could. The air is so fresh and the waves are so beautiful, even from up here." I looked out the window to enjoy the view once more. It may take a while before we come back here again.
"Let's buy a vacation house here, one day. That's it... one of my life goals." He smiled and I blushed.
"Promise?" I held my pinky out and Beomgyu interlocked his with mine.
