"I actually attempted to kill myself when I was eighteen... I thought nobody in school knew about it, but after coming to the reunion it seems like everyone did." Sohyun admitted to me.
"Yeah, people talked about it for a long time." I truthfully told her.
"Do you know why I did it? I've been trying to figure that out for years, but there's so many missing pieces. My mom won't tell me either." She deeply sighed. Sohyun put her palms facing up, which showed me the scars. The flower is still there from the hazing, and the vertical cuts on each wrist.
My heart ached by just staring at it. The pain she went through and the story behind those scars... it's just awful.
"I'm not sure." I lied. Also not yet sure if her family has reminded her of Taehyun.
"Can you help me find the answers?" She asked and I felt like I was hit by a bullet. I can just tell her...
"Okay." I patted her head.
Sohyun's so fragile. I'm scared that if I let go of her for even just a second, she might break or disappear again.
I took her to the centre, to take a look around and explain the means of my organization. It might help her in some ways as well, as it has for many people.
"There's a new kid." One of the staff told Sohyun and I.
"What kind of situation was it?" I asked and she handed me the teen's registry sheet.
"Suffers from PTSD and has tried to commit countless of times," Sohyun read out loud. "Can I help out with this one?"
"Of course." I took her to the dorms and we went inside the girl's room. She's about thirteen, very skinny, and quite tall. There are many self harm scars on her skin.
"Hello, Sia. What a pretty name you have there!" Sohyun approached her first and the girl seemed engaged immediately. "I would really love to talk to you! How about this, I tell you about myself and then you tell me about you? You can also ask me any questions you want."
The two talked really well together, as they matched each other's energy. Sia opened up a lot to Sohyun, and she was able to give her some good advices. It's really different when you've been at that state yourself; you can use it as resource to help someone else. Sohyun listened to her so well.
"The teens here are very lovely! I really enjoyed talking to them." Sohyun told me after we did a few more rounds, in which we took turns talking. We also watched a sharing circle session.
"You did a really great job earlier. It usually takes a while for some teens to open up, but you saw right through them immediately. I'm very impressed." I complimented her.
"I received years worth of therapy from different specialists, some of them who were from different fields and still helped. I just projected the things that worked for me." She told me.
We went to my office and I explained more about how everything works. She seemed very intrigued and interested in learning more about it.
"I'll work it out tomorrow! I'll talk to my team so we can help." She cupped my cheeks and I blushed. The things this girl does to me...
"I don't care anymore, fuck it." I lifted Sohyun up and lightly dropped her onto my desk, deeply kissing her as she wrapped her arms around my neck. Her tiny giggles make it very clear that she's been looking forward to this.
"You're not very professional, Mr. Choi." She mumbled against my lips.
"Then stop seducing me, Ms. Kang." I found my way to Sohyun's neck and started sucking on it, making her lose her breath.
The atmosphere definitely got a lot more heated, it felt very intense and intimate as we stared into each other's eyes. She was about to unbutton my top, but then one of my staff's suddenly walked in.
We completely froze.
"Oh, did I interrupt? I'll can come back later, lovebirds!" Mrs. Lee chuckled. She's one of the older women that work here- she retired from her old job, but got bored and wanted to work again. She always tries to set me up with people too, just like Leo... I already know she's never going to shut up about what she just saw.
"Yeah, never here..." I stood up and my heart was still beating so fast.
