mcc canon ??

a/n: Okay, but imagine if mcc was canon for the dsmp????? Cause like there was a long break since the December mcc and back then everyone was like still kinda okay with each other. And conveniently, while there was no mcc's, Dream was yeeted in prison. So now that mcc is back and Dream is in it, things start to get interesting. Quackity is still torturing Dream every day, and Dream is obviously starved, injured, weak and traumatized. Now, he does have George and captain on his team, which makes sense, cause they still like him (or at least don't hate him). But he also has Quackity. Enjoy some angst lol

A soft click sounded from above the cell and the lava began lowering for the second time that day, alerting the prisoner something was wrong. The lava soon lowered enough for Dream to glance across the lava lake from his slouched position against the wall. There, on the other side, stood Sam, his armour glistening, drenched in the warm light from the lava. The visitor being Sam was expected, as Quackity had already visited that day, but Sam usually only bothered to stop by if his absence would lead to Dream's demise, and Quackity had not been that cruel today. In fact, no bones had even been broken, and he'd left Dream's face alone. Dream was confused, and slightly scared.

Sam threw a pearl across the lava lake, landing safely a few blocks from the lava. Sam never used the bridge, he always pearled. Dream assumed it was for security reasons. Standing up straight and recovering quickly from the pearl, Sam lazily dropped a bag onto the floor. The contents clinked together, sounding like glass, the sharp noise harsh on Dream's ears. Potions?

"S- am?" Dream croaked. He hadn't been able to speak properly in days. His screams had for so long echoed through the halls of the prison, agonizing and desperate, only to have faded about a week ago, his voice having finally given up on being saved. He would be surprised if he managed to force anything but a whisper.

Sam ignored the prisoner's greeting, kneeling beside him and reaching for the contents of the bag.

"Eat." Sam commanded, holding out a gapple, expecting Dream to take it.

Dream made no effort to comply, only staring blankly at the floor.

"Dream. Eat." Sam was not going to deal with Dream's stubbornness. Not today.

Dream must've heard the underlying anger in Sam's voice as a thin trembling hand weakly reached for a gapple. Sam let the gapple drop into Dream's hand. Dream attempted to lift the gapple to his mouth and take a bite, as he wished to not disappoint Sam, but his hand was shaking too much.

Sam let out an annoyed sigh and grabbed the gapple. If Dream was too weak to even hold the gapple Sam doubted he would be able to bite into it. Sam took out his knife, forcing himself to ignore the way Dream tensed up and how his eyes were now only focused on the blade.

Sam started cutting the gapple into smaller pieces. A wave of nostalgia washed over the warden. Dream had been quite a picky eater when he was younger. Some foods seemed repulsing. Apple was amongst those. Specifically, whole unpeeled apples. Not even Puffy could make him eat those. Sam though, had one day been cutting some apple slices for himself when a tiny head had popped up above the counter, looking curiously at the apple slices.

"Dream, you don't even like apples" Sam had laughed, but Dream had crossed his arms and pouted. It always worked, no one could say no to that face. Sam raised his hands in defeat.

"Okay, okay, here" Sam handed the child a slice, shaking his head in amusement.

He had expected Dream to spit it out, but Dream's eyes lit up, and a smile spread across his face.

"You like it?"

Dream had nodded, holding out his small hands for another slice, and who was Sam to deny him.
