Chapter Ten

<Mavis' POV)>

"Ano po ba iyon, Mommy?"tanong ko kay mommy Sandra. Matapos kasi naming magluto ni Lenny ay dinala ako ng mommy sa kwarto ko. May ibibigay daw siya sa akin.

"Here, open this box." isang malaking puting box ang nakapatong sa kama ko. Binuksan ko yong box.

Nagulat ako sa nakita ko sa loob ng box. Nasa loob nito ang isang napakagandang damit, isang maskara at silver high-heeled stilleto.Pero mas kumuha ng pansin ko ang damit. I was in a total stun when I finally took the gown out of the box and view it with its real length. It was a strapless pale blue gown accented with some grey linings, simple, walang gems o palamuti but it was nicely made. Lahat ng parte ng tela detalyado. Naiimagine ko na ang magsusuot ng gown na ito ay mag sta- stand out. The combination of colors was a surprise. No one would actually think that pale blue and grey will greatly compliment each other.

Mas nagpaganda pa sa mga mata ko ay yong kaalaman na ang dalawang kulay na ito ang mga paborito ko.

"Do you like it?" rinig kong sabi ni Mommy.

"Oo naman po. Kahit sinong babae po ang magsusuot nito paniguradong magsta stand out po. Kanino po bang gown ito?."

She smiled.

"Ofcourse it's yours. I personally choose the colors because I know they are your favorites." she told me and then she walk towards me.

"Ha?Akin po ito? Bakit po?"

"You'll use that for this evening's party, Mavis." kinuha niya sa loob ng box ang maskara. Maskara na kapareho ang kulay at desinyo ng gown na hawak ko. "And also this." iniabot niya sa akin ang maskara.

"Pero sobra sobra na po to mommy. Okay naman po ako kahit sa simpleng gown lang po." really it was overwhelming. Lahat lahat ng bagay na ipinagkaloob ni mommy sa akin. I was so blessed to be able to spend this part of my life with them. They have filled some empty spaces in my heart dahil nga sa pagkawala ng mga alaala ko. And I feel like crying.

And yes I cried. Ang drama ko.

"Hush darling, don't cry. I only want the best for you." she wiped the tears that started to came out of my eyes."Isa kang napakalaking biyaya na dumating sa amin. You've saved me when I was drowned in loneliness. You brought joy and hope into my life. You deserve to be happy, Mavis, the way you brought much happiness in our life."

Teary-eyed I smiled at mommy Sandra. "Thank you, mommy. I love you."

"I love you more hija. " she hugged me tight,and after a while bumitaw na rin siya. "Tama na nga tong kakasenti natin. Now, come on magready kana para mamaya. Maidlip ka muna. May pupunta rito mamaya para tulungan ka sa pag aayos okay. I still need to attend to a lot of things. I have to go." she kissed me on my cheeks before she headed through the door.

Bago pa tuluyang umalis ay minsan niya pa akong nilingon.

With a stunning smile on her face she said " This is not just Zeref's night, my dear, this is also yours. May you be happy forever." she winked then she was gone.

<Zeref's POV>

"Zeref, man, this party is awesome! It was nice of you to think of a masquerade theme. Parang bumabata ako." it was Gabriel, my cousin's husband. Also one of my business partners. He is wearing his usual business attire and a batman mask. Kahit may takip sa mata makikilala mo pa rin siya sa boses niya ofcourse."Happy birthday, bro."

"Happy birthday, L" yeah, he must be with my cousin Lucy. Lucy calls me L, because of my second name Lawliet.

"Thank you. Where are the others?" ang 'others' na tinutukoy ko ay ang mga co members namin sa Isla Edolas. A private island where we own villas. Ito rin yong lugar bukod sa Isla Cassandra kung saan ako nakakapagrelax.
