"Josie come here!" Mom yells. I run downstairs and see her smiling. As soon as she looks at me her smile drops and runs into a glare. "You are a pathetic excuse for a wolf. I'm sending you to live in the dungeons. Emberly is going with you. I can't believe you can't even speak! You are five! Learn already!" She shouts. "You no teach me." I say.
The dream changes and I stand in the middle of the woods with Leo, Em, Matthew, Josh, mom, and dad surrounding me. "Worthless, runt, pathetic, miserable, good for nothing." The words surround me. They keep coming until they don't. Suddenly they all shift and jump to attack.

"Josie! Sweetie wake up. It's a dream!" Josh says and I shoot up. I try to jump away by he cradles me and rocks back and forth whispering random things until I calm down. "What happened?" He asks. I look up at him. " I need to train. You teach me to speak properly?" I ask. "Of course. It's eight in the morning. We need to accept you into the pack then we can start." He says. I smile and jump up to wake Em.
He follows me. I put a finger to my lips and he grins. I slam the door open. They both jump to their feet. "GET UP!" I shout at the top of my lungs. "We are up Josie! I was sleeping nicely." She whines. "Time to be welcomed. Then we have training. Also we have a lot to talk about." Leo says. She gapes at me. "But sleep." I glare. "Alright alright I'm up."
I smile and we head out. Already? We jus got here last night and I didn't even get to sleep in. Em complains. Sorry Em, but I need to get this over with. I'm the Luna! I can't just sit around and twiddle my thumbs. This pack needs me. I think. I say. Yes they do. And thanks for the positivity. I didn't need to talk you into it. What's up with your happy mood? Em asks.
I have a mate who believes in me. He's awesome. I really like him. I can't say love yet but my instinct says to trust him. I've always listened to my instinct. I still have to get to know him and he has to get to know me. Now watch your step, we are at the ceremony.
I say as we walk in. She just grins as we walk on stage with Leo and Josh. "Welcome! Today we are adding two new people to our pack! Miss Josie-" he stops not knowing my last name. His is Black. Mine is Morgan. "Morgan." I whisper. "Morgan! And Emberly Morgan! Josie is my mate and your Luna while Emberly is Leo's mate and Beta Female."
One girl in the crowd growls. "She can't be Luna! She just got here! I deserve the Luna position! Not her!" Her statement causes me to give a small growl. "The moon Goddess paired me with your Alpha. Which means she believes I deserve the title as your Luna. But the difference between you and me, is that I want to be Luna so I can help you. You want to be Luna for power. If you still think you deserve it you are welcome to challenge me." I state calmly and for once my words come out correctly. I'm already doing better than before.
"Very well. I, Sierra Darine challenge you, Josie Morgan for your position as Luna of the Blood Moon pack. If I win you will reject your mate and leave. If you win you can decide what ever you want to be done with me." She says. "I Josie Morgan accept your challenge." I say. "As you have both agreed to the challenge it will take place on the full moon in one week. Prepare yourselves." Josh says and dismisses everyone.
We walk out to the training grounds and start with different exercises. He wants to check my ability to run so we run around the pack borders. He is in worse shape than me. When we stop he is breathing heavily and I'm just waiting for him to catch his breath.
"Now we will do a bit of hand to hand combat." He says. We go into a circle for fights. He tries to wait for me to hit first but realize I like to start on defense. He nods. "I like offense to begin with anyway." He throws a punch which I dodge. I duck under his arm and push him to ye ground from behind, trapping his arms behind his back. He groans realizing he has lost. "You really are powerful wolf... I can't wait to see your wolf form. Will you shift for me?" He asks.
About that.... I can't shift. Em and I haven't shifted yet. I say using the mate link. He looks concerned. "All wolves shift at fourteen..." I stare. No way! Now I'm not only a runt Omega, but a late shifter as well! Wait not Omega but Luna.
I sigh. Oh well. Just another thing to add. I go back to training my strength. I also work on running faster. After a while we decide to stop and go back to our room. For once I look around.

It's the most amazing room I've ever seen. I decide to take a shower to clean all the yuck off. When I come out Josh is standing my the door with two wrapped gifts. He walks over and hands them to me. "Open them." He says. Inside the boxes there is a phone and a laptop. "The phone is for you to talk to people on. You can use the laptop for whatever really." He explains.
"Can I write on it?" I ask. He nods. I am about to open it when I hear my sister scream. Instantly I'm up a running towards it. Outside she stands with a rogue holding her throat. Leo stops behind me snarling. "Hello Josie... There is something you should know. I was sent to inform you that the reason you haven't shifted... Is because you are the Moon Goddess's daughter."
