I can't help but laugh at the surprise on Dawn and Dean's faces. Ami may not be one to want to fight, but when she does she can hold her own. She works hard and stays strong. Not once have I ever seen her back down. She doesn't defend herself often and usually just ignores what people say but one time they hurt her sister and...

*FLASHBACK*

I watch Ami playing with Audrey. She was always over protective of the small child. She is really patient and learned sign language before her sister was born. So she could teach her and speak to her. I get a weird feeling when a boy who is at least sixteen walks up to them. "Oh look, it's the Alpha and Luna's deaf pup. Does she realize she is just a burden? A wolf who can't hear is better off dead! I bet she never will be able to protect herself. They even put their oldest child as her protector. Pathetic." He scoffs. I'm about to go over when Ami steps right into his space.

"You listen to me boy. That is my little sister and if I hear one more insult towards her I will beat you to a pulp and have you kicked from this pack. Consider this a warning." He smirks. "What are you going to do shortie? Your like, ten." She smiles. "I'm thirteen and I would kick your ass." I almost shout for her to watch her mouth but I want to see how she handles this. "That deaf pup is nothing but a nuisance."

Her face goes blank and she looks at Audrey who is crying. She may be deaf but she can read lips. Ami bends down to her height. You are not a nuisance. You are the best little sister ever. Don't tell Aislinn I said that... I will always be around, and that is my choice. Even if I am ways away, I will come back immediately if you need me. I choose to be near you. I love you. Now I am going to kick his butt for saying that. She signs to her. Audrey giggles with a nod. 

Ami looks back at the boy with her face blank again. She gives a nod in warning before launching herself at him and punching him in the face. He shifts to his wolf form but she stays in her human one. He goes to claw her face but right before he touches her she dips down on her back and kicks straight up, hitting his muzzle. There is a crack before blood pours from his nose. She gives him a few kicks. When he submits to her she stops. She may be incredibly dangerous when angry, but she will always be fair. I walk out and stand by my kids. Audrey runs over to me and I pick her up. "Take this boy to the cell. I'll deal with him when I'm ready."

*Over*

They look at me confused. "She is my daughter." I say with a smile. Ami looks over at me. "Mom?" she asks. "Yeah?" She looks confused. "How did you know what was happening to me? I was there for two months and I was so sure you would never know... how did you figure it out?" I see red when she says that. "Two months? He was doing that for two months?!" She flinches with a nod. Before I know it she in on her knees begging me not to punish her. "Pup, look at me." She looks up. "I would never hurt you. I am your mother and you are my pup. I will never hurt any of you. I know for a bit it will be hard to get over what has been done, but every step of the way I will be here. I know how you feel. I spent years going through that, and I will spend the rest of my life making sure you never feel it again. She looks at me with tears in her eyes. Then her eyes turn the stunning gold showing that her wolf is in control. I allow River to take control.

*River POV*

I kneel down and look at my pup. She whimpers and walks over before sitting with me. No matter what, I will take care of her. Forever. {A/N I can't remember Ami's wolf's name so we are calling her Silver now...} "Silver my darling pup, I will never let anything happen to you again. I'm sorry I wasn't there sooner. When I find that filthy blood sucker I will make him pay. He will never lay his hands on you again. That much I will make sure of. I will do everything in my power to end his miserable existence. I don't care if he is the oldest vampire in existence." She whines. "Thank you mama." I smile down at my pup. I still remember the day I decided I would give my life for her...

*Flashback, still River*

When I knew we were about to give birth to the pup I took control. I ran to our make shift den and layed down. A few hours later I sat looking at the baby in my arms. When she opened her eyes I was staring right into her beautiful green ones. They held so much love and trust. Yet, she was only just born. It was that moment I realized, if it came to me living or her, I would always allow it to be her. She can count on me. "I love you my pup. I will name you Ami, for it means beautiful in Asian. You are the most beautiful thing I have ever seen."
