"But I don't want to get down or make mom mad. Can we go rock climbing? In one of those human gyms?" I sigh. "If you are very good while we talk to miss Elantra." She nods.

Light pain shoots up and down my back. It's been two months since I left Ami. Im a but worried. Is she doing ok? Has she been able to control it? Pup is hurting! River says. But Aislinn, Audrey, Ridian, and Avery are all here safe... Not them. Ami! Must protect pup! Help pup! Save pup! Maybe it's just controlling her blood lust? No. Call Damion. I decide to listen. "Josh! Watch the pups I need to make a phone call."

"Yes ma'am." I just walk away. He must realize something is off. "You good?" I look over at him. "I don't know. Watch the pups." He nods. I walk into his office and call Damion. "Yes?" He says. "Hey, it's Josie. May I speak to Ami?" He sighs. "She is being punished." Worry shoots through me. "Why and how?" He chuckles. "You really don't want to know. Goodbye Josie."

"JOSH! EMBERLY! LEO!" all three run in. "What?" Josh asks I growl. "Send the kids to your parents. They are hurting my Ami. Let's go." They nod. And we leave. Hold on Ami. I'm coming.

"Stop. Stop. Stop." I beg through my tears. It gets me nothing but a kick to the gut. I was told only a month of this. It's been over two months and they show no sign of quitting. Dawn looks pissed. "YOU SAID ONE MONTH! ITS BEEN OVER TWO! STOP HURTING HER!" She screams. Begging nor shouting ever work. I'm completely left to their mercy. This happens at least three times a day if not more. I hear someone come down the steps. No one else does. Since I'm hybrid!y hearing is better than others. "Pup! I'm coming down. Don't let them know I'm here." Dad says.

I sob. They came. The man hurting me breaks a bone and I scream. "Get. The. Hell. Off. My. Pup." Dad yells. The man looks at him and grins. The second mom steps into the light with her eyes glowing in rage his smirk drops. "Oh shit." Is all he says before he drops to the ground dead. "I can c-control it now. Home." I manage to say before passing out.
