"No! I would never! But we are taking a trip to see Damion. If I'm correct you are his only heir. He would want to meet you Ami." She rolls her eyes at her father's comment. "Amilie Scarlet Black! Don't you roll your eyes at your father!" She looks away then her eyes snap to mine as she sniffs the air. I realize she is no longer looking at me but at a girl her age standing in the doorway. I notice something different about the girl right away. Red eyes. Meaning she is a vampire.

The vampire girl walks towards my daughter. "Hello my young beloved. My name is Dawn. I am the right hand to the Vampire King. I notice you are a vampire as well. You should pack a bag and bring your family to meet the king. Where are you family anyway?" Ami looks confused for a second. She points at us. "But they are wolves.?" She pauses. "Oooh a hybrid. Tell me where is the vampire in your family?" I give a small smile at the girls straightforwardness. (If that is even a word...)

"Her father is King Damion. We would like you to escort us there." I say calmly. "Of course! Come princess." She tells Ami with a wink. Vampires... Flirtatious creatures. Josh send Ami to grabs her stuff and Dawn goes with her. "Is this really smart?" Josh asks. "Nope."

"You called me your beloved. Why do you use that word? I've always been told it was mates." She nods. "Vampires live for thousands of years. They don't die of old age. At the age of fourteen born vampires slow down on aging. When we hit 4000 we stop aging and look twenty. So, when I was growing up, we called our mates our beloved. I'm 114. So I still look fourteen." My eyes widen. "Umm how old is the king?"

"He is the oldest Vampire alive at 30,148 years old." Jeez. And people said the wolf elders were old. "Dawn?" I ask. "Yes, princess?" I pause a bit embarrassed. "I- I- I'm thirsty but water doesn't sound good." She gives me an understanding nod. "Blood. Though you arent craving normal blood. When a vampire is bitten, after the change they must drink the vampire who changed them blood. In born vampires they have to take some from the father. If he father dies then the mother. If it's an orphan vampire then the person taking care of them. You get the picture. But if the vampires blood they need refuses then well.... They die."

I stare at her wide eyed. The Vampire King wouldn't do that... Would he? Oh well I guess we will see. "Um I got everything. How long will I be staying?" I ask. "At least a year or two. You will need to control the blood lust. Dont worry, I'll be there every step of the way. I'll even come wherever you go." I nod and smile.

We meet mom and dad out in the car and then we go to the King's castle. Fun... I'm so ready for this.. not. Oh chill. Geez you sound like an old lady! My wolf Selena says. Yeah? Dawn bows and I follow. Then mom and dad. "Stand." The man says. Mom steps forwards. "Josie! I went back for you but you were gone. Matthew said some Alpha took you for a breeder." Dad growls. "I would never use my mate for a breeder!" The man puts his hands up as mom wraps her arm around him. "I just said that is what the Alpha said. I never said I believed it. That trouble maker would never allow that. Especially not if she took her twin and my child with her." I look at him in shock. He finally looks over with a smile. "You think I didn't find her in the woods? We vampires sense when we have a child. We sense where that are. The day I came to save her she was running in the woods. I took her home and sent her to you when I seen you in the mall. I changed her memory a bit to her running rogue and my men were bad men trying to get her. The bruises she had were from one of the children who thought it would be funny to challenge a princess. She won but I decided she would be safer with an overprotective mother wolf until she came of age. Now, please come in."
