How could I have let this happen? Instead of fighting them I stood back and let her choose! I could have taken it for her but instead I just let her do as she wished. I should have stood up to the king years ago! But my job has always been try to fit in. Get close then sabotage. Mum made sure I'd have everything I needed. Now I can take over with my mate as future queen.

King Damion acts sweet to everyone, but his own vampires? He will hurt relentlessly. Why did my little one have to be born that monster? All he knows how to do is beat people into submission. His so called 'beloved' isn't even truly his! He killed his beloved. I would know, he was my father. I was forced to sit back and watch as they killed him slowly and painfully in front of me. That was when I knew just how much of a monster Damion Lee is.

He will never hurt my princess again. She is my forever, my other half. Seeing her in this hospital bed hurts. It hurt knowing that I messed up and couldn't save her. If I had stopped her from attacking Damion's brother she wouldn't be like this. One thing that helps me is knowing that Josie doesn't blame me. She has told me countless times that it wasn't my fault. But is she just lying to make me feel better?

"Princess, you need to wake up. Please, just open your eyes? I need you. You dont realize just how much I need you here with me. Please darling, look at me. Scream, threaten, you can even hurt me if you like but open those beautiful eyes." I ramble not even caring that her family is in the room. Her fingers lightly squeeze mine before her angelic voice hits me. "I would never hurt you my mate. I need you as much as you need me." Her voice is weak but she is awake.

"Oh princess. I'm so so so sorry. I will never let this happen again. What are you- no you can't get up! You're hurt! Lay down!" I break off my apology as she starts to get up. I gently press her back down. "But I want a hug." She pouts. Awe. Just awe. Wait, damn it Dawn! People are going to think your mushy... But wait I don't care. Awee. I smile and gently climb in next to her. She nuzzles her head into my neck and falls asleep.

"I told you she wouldn't blame you. Now, there will be rules. One, you may sleep in the same room but the door stays open. No marking or mating until you are sixteen... Wait, until she is sixteen. You will go to school. You must keep our secret from the humans. Lastly, if you dare hurt her we will be your lifetime enemy." I gulp and nod. She immediately switches from glaring to happy. Bipolar much?

"Dawn! You have a visitor!" Josh says. "Can thet come here?" I ask. He nods and seconds later one person I never thought I would see walks in...

Haha, who is it? Ooooo cliff hanger.... I seen something before where authors talk to their characters. Should I do that as added entertainment?

Anyways thank you for reading it means a lot. I just realized earlier that this book is ranked number 1 in equals. This isn't me bragging it's just me sharing achievement. Without the people who read and vote for this, my book would never have reached this. I love you all.

Also, I got an email about this book from an editor, he told me I should publish this into an actual book. What do you think? Publish it for real or leave it as just a Wattpad book? I need some honest opinions please. Even if they are bad, after all bad comments help just as much as the good because they tell me what needs fixed.
