A day later I'm just sitting in my cell watching Aislinn sleep. She hasn't woken up since she blacked out. I hear footsteps come downstairs. Not good not good! But I see two unfamiliar men dragging a girl down. Not just any girl... Ruyi! Oh no. If she's here like this it means she wasn't thinking. But what upset her enough to do this?

"She rejected me Josie. She doesn't want her mate to be a killer." So she told Sierra everything. Oh, I knew I hated Sierra! I thought I would give her a second chance but she doesn't even give Ruyi that! Ruyi, who needs the second chance more than anyone. Sierra couldn't even give her mate that. Sierra must have forgotten that she kissed a mated wolf. That is lower than any wolf can possibly go.

Oh when I get home I will slap that bitch. "Ruyi... Sweetie she wasn't a good person anyway. She kissed Josh just to get me killed." She growls. "That whore did what? I'm honestly glad she rejected me. I never really loved her to be honest... She always had this look like she was using me. I don't want her to be my mate. Im just pissed right now because those jerks that threw me down here hurt that kid. I felt her pain after the bond broke. I came running. Something about her makes me want to protect her. You know? Just like with you." A thought crosses my mind.

"Touch her hand." She does and gasps. "Sparks.. mine... Mate." She murmurs. "How long since your bond broke?" She thinks. "A week." That's enough time for a bond to form with your second chance mate. I gasp as realization hits me. "Your second chance is a kid because you don't need a mate to be intimate with! You need a mate to protect!" That was always her personality. She is a protector!

She smiles and picks Aislinn up. Everyone needs a mate to fit their personalities. My daughter and best friend are proof. River, how long til the full moon? A few days. Good. I can work with this.

"How long until we can attack?" I ask my lead warrior. "A few days. We attack on the full moon." Good. I've left Ami and Cammie with my brother and Em. I can't watch them while searching for my mate and daughter. I won't risk taking them out. They could get stolen. Then Josie would hate me. Only a few more days then we attack. I get my mate, Ruyi, and my daughter.

Sierra runs over to me. "Hey, Josh." She says seductively. "Go away." I walk off and she looks confused. Oh well. I need to get prepared to get Josie back. But something happens that I was not expecting. Cammie runs up to me. "Dad, I can get her back. Tonight. Get me to the Rogue Kings place."
