Chapter 7 Jayden finds out about his guardian angel

The next day Lauren came out to talk to me. "Ariel, I need to ask you something." Lauren said. "What's going on?" I asked. "Well, I was just wondering, should I tell Jayden that you are his guardian angel?" Lauren said. "I think it's time you knew what happened. He actually talked to me after he got kidnapped by Octaroo. But I wasn't his guardian angel at that time but now I am." I said. "Wait, he talked to you?" Lauren said. "Just one time." I said. "That's a first." Lauren said. "Yeah." I said. "So, should I tell him that you are his guardian angel?" Lauren said. "I think it's time he knows who his guardian angel is." I said. "Okay, I'll tell him the next time I get to talk to him." Lauren said. "Okay." I said. The next day Lauren went to Walmart with Jayden. While they were buying some snacks that they can keep in their dorm rooms at the college Lauren decided to talk to Jayden about his guardian angel. "Jayden, I might have found out who your guardian angel is." Lauren said. "Who's my guardian angel?" Jayden asked. "Your guardian angel is our little sister, Ariel." Lauren said. "What? How did you know that?" Jayden asked. "Because, she's my guardian angel too. And not only that, she's also John's guardian angel. Seems like mom and dad knew what they were doing when they gave her the position of her being our guardian angel." Lauren said. "Wow, I didn't expect that." Jayden said. A few weeks later Jayden and Lauren were walking back to the college when they ran into some of the students that they don't get along with. They beat them up and then they both got hit by a car. They were taken to the hospital. While unconscious Jayden woke up in an unknown place. I went over to him on my alicorn.

Then my alicorn whinnied.

Jayden got scared. "Jayden, it's okay. I'm here to help." I said as I got off my alicorn. "Ariel? Where am I?" Jayden asked. "I can not tell you where you are." I said. "Okay, then why am I here?" Jayden asked. "You're here because I need to give you something." I said. "Okay." Jayden said. Then I used some kind of angel magic to make a stuffed animal wolf appear.

"Wait, isn't that your old stuffed animal?" Jayden asked. "Yes, I want you to have it. I noticed that you were having a few nightmares lately so I decided to give this to you, it always helped me." I said. "Wow, thanks." Jayden said. "You must leave now." I said before sending him back to earth. He woke up in the hospital. "Oh, it was just a dream." Jayden said. Then a nurse walked in. "Oh, I see that you are awake." The nurse said. "Where am I?" Jayden asked. "You're in the hospital." The nurse said. "How did I get here?" Jayden asked. "Well, you were ran over by a car after being beat up." The nurse said. "That is the weirdest thing I've ever heard in my life because look at me. I'm fine." Jayden said. "Yes you are. I'm getting the doctor." The nurse said before walking out. Then Mentor Ji walked into the room. "Jayden, are you okay? A nurse ran down the hall and it made me really worried about you." Mentor Ji said. "Yes Mentor, I'm fine." Jayden said. "I was worried sick about you." Mentor Ji said. "Really Mentor, I'm fine." Jayden said. "Jayden, I'm so glad that you're okay. But for Lauren, that's a different story." Mentor Ji said. "Mentor, what do you mean by for Lauren, it's a different story?" Jayden asked. Mentor Ji couldn't think of how to say how Lauren was doing. "Mentor, is Lauren, dead?" Jayden asked. "No, she's not dead." Mentor Ji said. "Thank god." Jayden said under his breath. "She's still unconscious. I got told that she is in a coma. And the longer she stays like that the more at risk she's at of not waking up. Anyway I have to go back home to get some stuff sorted out." Mentor Ji said. Then he left. Then the doctor walked into the room. "Good afternoon Jayden. According to the nurse you're fine, aren't you?" Doctor Jacobs said. "Yes, I am." Jayden said. "That's odd. Mentor Ji found you lying in the street." Doctor Jacobs said. "What?" Jayden said. "You were hit by a car. Don't you remember?" Doctor Jacobs said. "Uh, no?" Jayden said. "And on top of that we suspect that you were beaten up before we found you. Do you remember anything?" Doctor Jacobs said. Then Jayden got a flashback of the incident but it was a little fuzzy to him. "I think so, maybe a little bit. Maybe it's starting to come back to me. I was walking back to the college with Lauren when we ran into some of the other students that we didn't get along with and, without warning they beat us up." Jayden said. "Okay." Doctor Jacobs said. Then they gave Jayden something to eat. When Jayden was done eating John called and the nurse gave him the phone. "Hey Jayden, what's up?" John asked. "Hi John. Not much. Since when did you call a hospital randomly?" Jayden said. "Well someone told me that you got hurt or something. And I was like I better call and make sure that he's okay." John said. "Well, I'm pretty sure that I am going to get out pretty soon but..." Jayden said. "But what?" John asked. "It's about Lauren. She's in a coma and I don't know if she is ever going to wake up." Jayden said. "Wait, what? Lauren is in a coma?" John said. "Yeah." Jayden said. "I hope she wakes up soon. I don't want to lose her." John said. "I know, I don't want to lose her too." Jayden said. Then they said goodbye to each other and hung up. Then the nurse walked in. "Jayden, due to you not being hurt you can go see your sister. She's in room 207." The nurse said. Then Jayden went to the room his sister is in. "Oh, hi, you must be her brother." The doctor that was in the room said. "I am." Jayden said. "Well, she's in a coma. We have no idea what's wrong with her. Her vitals are stable but her brain patterns are wildly erratic." The doctor said. "Can you get her out of it?" Jayden asked. "We're trying, but she's not responding to anything." The doctor said. "But she's going to be okay, right?" Jayden asked. "Jayden, I'm not going to lie to you, the longer she stays like this the more at risk she is at of not waking up." The doctor said. Then the doctor walked out.
