Chapter 16 saving John from the underworld part 6

Meanwhile at the shiba house Emily is trying to convince Jayden to come back to the underworld. "Jayden, why don't you want to come back to the underworld?" Emily asked. "No reason." Jayden said. "What's going on? I can tell that something is bothering you." Emily said. "Okay, I'll tell you. Before my dad's last battle I made a promise to him that I would protect Ariel, but I didn't. I had her join us in nighlok battles and I could have protected her in the second to last battle..." Jayden said before Emily cut him off. "She didn't like seeing that. She even told me that if anyone tried to hurt you, Lauren, or John, she would do whatever she can to save you guys, even if that meant dying for you guys." Emily said. "But I should have been the one that died, not her." Jayden said. "Hey, listen. I know that you feel responsible for what happened but none of that was your fault. Some people would give anything to have a sister like her. A sister that would protect them, no matter what. You know, if you don't want to come back to the underworld, that's fine." Emily said before she started to walk out. "Wait." Jayden said before Emily even took one step out of his room. Emily turned to him. "On second thought, I'll come back with you." Jayden said. They go back to the underworld and Lauren was surprised that Jayden came back. "Jayden, why did you come back?" Lauren asked. "Well, Emily convinced me to come back." Jayden said. Jayden knew what he had to do. He's going to rewrite Hades story so that they can find out what his weakness is and use it to destroy him. Jayden rewrote his story and put something in there called the Olympian crystal. "Jayden, what's the Olympian crystal?" Lauren said. "It's a crystal with a lot of power. Zeus had the crystal but I feel like Hades has already stolen it from him." Jayden said. "Then I guess that's what we have to do. Find the Olympian crystal and kill Hades with it." Kevin said. The next day Kevin and Lauren went back to the shiba house and went into the office. When Kevin said that everything was going to be alright Hades showed up behind them. "I wouldn't be so sure." Hades said. "Stay away from my friends daughter." Kevin said. "Believe me, she's not the one who's in danger." Hades said. "Hades stop. This isn't worth it. If you kill me Jayden will be in an even weaker emotional state." Lauren said. "Only if he knows about it. And this isn't going to kill you, it's going to end you. No underworld, no moving on. One minute you exist and the next you don't. That's what you get when someone turns against you." Hades said. "This was my idea to break in here. Just use that on me. You let her go." Kevin said. "Oh, sorry. Ladies first." Hades said as he tried to use the Olympian crystal on Lauren but Kevin got in front of her and took the hit which resulted in him dying. "Don't worry, you won't be apart long." Hades said. Then Jayden walked in. "Lauren, what happened?" Jayden asked. Lauren looked right at Jayden. "Hades did this." Lauren said. "He said he was going to kill you Jayden. I had to protect you." Hades said. "That's a lie." Lauren said. "Is it? Because I just found Emily, and these. You wanted to kill him." Jayden said. "I was trying to protect you Jayden. He's been lying to you since the minute his heart started beating." Lauren said. Jayden turned to Hades. "Is it true what they said? Did you trap them in the underworld?" Jayden asked. "I did it for you, so we wouldn't have to hurt anybody. But now they're here and the only way to be safe is to use this power to create a new world." Hades said. "Why do you need a new world?" Jayden asked. "This is about getting back at the family who never believed in you. Remember what I told you, there's no better revenge." Hades said. "I'm keeping this world the same. That's what my younger sister would want me to do." Jayden said. Then Lauren runs at Hades knocking him down and making him drop the Olympian crystal. Jayden picked it up. Hades stood up. "It's okay. Use it, end her." Hades said. "Jayden, I do believe in you. I defended you when no one else did. Ariel did the same thing. But sometimes, we couldn't do it. Hades tried to kill me already." Lauren said. "No, she's lying." Hades said. "Kevin died to protect me. That's what family is, sacrifice, that's what we do for the people we love." Lauren said. "Don't listen to her. All you have to do is kill her. And you can have everything you ever wanted. Do it. If you won't I will." Hades said. "All I ever wanted was to protect my family. Now I realize that my younger sister wanted the same thing!" Jayden shouted as he turned around and stabbed Hades in the heart with the Olympian crystal. Hades turned to dust. Jayden walked over to Lauren and gave her a hug. Then Jayden walked outside. "Well done Jayden. I knew you could do it." I said. "Thanks Ariel. It's just, I don't know how Lauren is going handle not being with John." Jayden said. "Maybe she doesn't have too." I said. "What do you mean?" Jayden asked. "You'll see, in time." I said. The next day Lauren was at John's grave. "Hey, I thought you would like this more than roses." Lauren said as she put two wolf figurines on his grave. Thanks for the pages. Hades, he's gone now. It's done. So I hope you're in a better place. I know I should be happy about that. But it just feels like now you're really gone. And there's nothing left to do than just... I miss you." Lauren said. They had the funeral for Kevin. After everyone left Mentor Ji walked up to Lauren. Meanwhile in heaven I rode over to John on my alicorn.

"Hello John." I said as I got off my alicorn. "Ariel." John said. I walked up to him. "I came to escort you onward. Are you ready?" I asked. "I am." John said. "Okay, but before I do, I want you to tell Lauren and Jayden that I said hi." I said. "I will." John said. "Then I guess it's time to take you where you belong." I said. Meanwhile at the cemetery, "I hope we never again have a day like today. I know what you're thinking, and this is not your fault." Mentor Ji said. "I just wanna say goodbye alone, if that's okay." Lauren said. "See you at home." Mentor Ji said before walking away.
