Chapter 11 John dies to save everyone & saving John from the underworld part 1

They started to walk out when Lauren guessed that she wasn't invited. She thinks that they don't trust her but they do, they just don't trust the darkness. Before Jayden walked out he turned to face Lauren. "Lauren, Mentor Ji and I love you. We just don't trust the darkness." Jayden said. Meanwhile in the woods John was walking around. "What the heck am I wearing? Why are dark rangers dressed like munks?" John asked. Decker showed up. "Yes much better. I wear leather as well." Decker said. "Get out of here." John said as he walked past him. "Try to ignore me but you can't." Decker said. "You can talk all you want spirit. I know you're lying. There's no way I can get my revenge when goes to Panorama City and I'm trapped here in Reefside." John said. "Well last week in Angel Grove, might I suggest a dark curse?" Decker said. "Crush the heart of the one I love most to enact it. I don't know. I won't kill Lauren." John said. "Well, there's always a loophole." Decker said. That's when Lauren showed up. "John, it worked. You're alive." Lauren said. "I am dead. After spending centuries quelling my bloodlust you threw me right back into that darkness, job well done Lauren!" John said. "Why didn't you test the save spell it was the only way to save you." Lauren said. "Right, the save spell, and where is the book with the spell?" John asked. "I don't know, it disappeared right after you did." Lauren said. Then Decker walked up to them. "Isn't that convenient?" Decker said. "How long has he been with you?" Lauren said. "You can still see him?" John asked. "Sadly yes, I mean she's still a dark ranger, no matter how ineffectual she may be." Decker said. "Don't listen to him, he's not real but I am, I'm right here look at me. That future, you told me to not be afraid of we can have it. The house in Panorama City. I'm not afraid anymore. I want it, with you. You just have to want it too." Lauren said. "I want it, more than anything." John said. "John, look." Lauren said. Decker was gone. "That half nighlok is gone." John said. "We can do this. We can get the darkness out of both of us for good." Lauren said. "How?" John said. "By doing what I just do with you." Lauren said. A few weeks go by and John has been avoiding getting his revenge because Lauren was always around and Jayden noticed it. John heard Lauren talking to Jayden about why he is not getting his revenge. "He's pretty strong. But why is he not attacking me or Mentor Ji?" Jayden asked. "I have no idea. Maybe he's feeling weak around me." Lauren said. "Or maybe he is weak." Jayden said. "Look, I know that I have been hanging out around you a lot. You know, to protect you." Lauren said. Jayden walked out. John didn't like the sound of them thinking that he was or that he is weak. He has been holding back on getting his revenge. He started to think that he is weak. He heard Lauren telling her friends that he is weak the next day. The next day Lauren was about to get killed when John saved her. Then the sword started to shake in his hand. Lauren noticed that John was about to do something else. "John you can't do this." Lauren said. "We both know there's no other way Lauren. We have to hurry. The darkness won't stay trapped in the sword for much longer. You have to help me Lauren, take it." John said. "I can't, it should be me." Lauren said. "Your family needs you. If anyone deserves to go to the underworld it's me. You were right, I was weak, so let me make up for now by being strong." John said. "I don't want to lose you." Lauren said. "I don't want to lose you. But you have to let me go. Let me die a hero. That's the man I want you to remember." John said. Lauren took the sword out of his hand. "I love you." Lauren said as she hugged him. Then they kissed each other. They look at each other for a minute. "It's okay." John said. Lauren raised the sword and was about to do it when she stopped herself. "John no, you ask too much, I can't do it!" Lauren said. "Lauren, there is no other way. You have to do this." John said. "I just can't." Lauren said. "This is the only option we have. Do it." John said. Lauren took a deep breath and raised the sword again. They looked at each other for a minute before she stabbed him in the heart. Lauren hugs him then as she steps back she pulls the sword out. Then she dropped the sword and hugged John as he dropped to the ground. She succeeded in getting the darkness out of both of them. Lauren was crying. The paramedics came and took John away. Lauren let his hand slip from her hand. She was still crying. Jayden and Mentor Ji hugged her. "It's okay Lauren." Mentor Ji said while hugging her. Later that night Lauren was laying on her bed and Jayden walked into her room. "Hey, are you doing okay?" Jayden asked as he sat down on the bed. "No, I'm not okay. John is dead because of me." Lauren said. "I know, but you didn't have much of a choice." Jayden said. "Now I know how Ariel felt after she killed our mom." Lauren said. "Well, it's getting late. We should probably get some sleep." Jayden said. "Okay." Lauren said. "I'll be in my room across the hall if you need anything." Jayden said. Lauren knows that Jayden was always there for someone. She wants to go to the underworld to get John back but there are some pros and cons for that, one of those cons being that someone else has to die. The next day Lauren met with the team. "You're going to hell?" Mia asked. "The underworld." Lauren said. "That's quite a distinction." Mike said. "I'm getting him back. This isn't fair to John. Decker tricked him, everything he gave up was based on a lie." Lauren said. "Lauren, you know how this works. It's a one-for-one trade. To get him back someone else will have to die." Antonio said. "And you just got back from being a dark ranger. You can't give into darkness again." Emily said. "I won't. I'm giving into love. I'm doing this right. I learned my lesson. I'm taking a page out of your book. You two share a heart. And so will we." Lauren said. "It could work." Emily said. "It will work." Lauren said.
